What is it with you people writing Taylor off? I think Taylor is one of the most important players for the future. All top clubs have home grown players, and it takes that to win. Like Gerrard in the CL league Final a few years back, Scholes for man utd over the years, Terry and Carragher always giving 110% for the club they love. Taylor has something that cant be bought for money, he has grown up here, and he loves the club. I Believe Taylor will be our Carragher, and does anyone remember how shite Carragher was in the start for Liverpool? Does anyone remember Terry struggle when he was younger? Give taylor time, let him mature in to the team. Give him a leader to play alongside, like Carragher had in Hyypia, like Terry had in Desailly, then we will have a top top class player. I just hate how we write off players in here, how fast we turn against our own. We need to be supportive of our players, hail them when they are doing great, motivate them when they are playing bad, and thats the way to become winners...!

Huntelaar has been steadily improving over the last 2 years. My only reservation is the Dutch league is so weak the goalscoring stats are often misleading. I'd prefer the Peruvian boy at PSV. Hmmm... PSV is also a dutch side.. would the Peruvian kid also be mislead?

In a typicall 4-4-2 formation I think Cisse would be excellent, getting behind the defenders on early crosses from our wingers. But if we play 4-3-3/4-5-1 I would doubt him comming any good like he was in Liverpool.

I think that'd be a very risky move. You've got to get (well, FS has got to get) this appointment right. So why take a chance on a foreign manger who, although he may have an excellent record in the very, very different environment of the Primera Liga, may very well fail to settle in the UK and fail to adapt to our game, regardless of his ability. For every Arsene Wenger there are plenty of Jo Venglos's. Allardyce is imho the right appointment - he's proven, he's available, and he'd take the job. But I get the impression reading through here that he's seen by many as somehow not quite "glam" enough. What is it with you guys, and only wanting "proven" premiership managers?? No, we need a manager that has a premiership history, or has a English nationality. We rather go for shite, than pick a class foreign manager... I think we should get the best manager that we can get, no mather what nationality, or what league he comes from. I think we should look for a manager who has good connections around the world, and can attract quality players. A manager who can build a winning team, and has his own staff(because ours sucks). We need a manager who knows tactics, and can teach our player to play his tactics(like Benitez, and wenger for their clubs). Isnt Jose Pekerman available? He is one of the few Great managers we could attrackt here. He knows talented players in south america, as he just to work for the Argentinian Under 20 and Under 17. He did well with the Argentina Nationalside in the world cup, they played good football, and has the balls to dropp "star" players.

I take Sven any day over Roeder. Sven is a great manager, who was never going to be loved as manager for England, and he did do a good job. My problem with Roeder is; - We look better the less available players we have. The kids looks more motivated than the "first team" players. - It seems for me that him and his backroom staff cant motivate the players. We only look decent against the top5 sides. - His tactics often fail, and he is a soft version of Souness. Think the only reason we did great under him last season. - Cant see Roeder here in the future, and I dont think the players can either = Dont think the players have faith in him. - He needs to learn of the big bosses, when talking to the press. You dont go out in the middle of the season saying lots of players is going to be shipped out of the club. - Dont think Roeder can attract big name signings. Cant see noone joining because we got Roeder. Think Svennis would be a great manager for us, and he is a manager I can see stay with us for a 5 year+ time. I also think Svennis has alot of the things Roeder lacks, and he(Sven) is more proffesional + He can attract big name signings. He can also attract media attention, and get the focus of the players and on him, something which is a good thing. Just watch what Mourinho is doing.

I think we need a new chairman, board, manager and coaches/physios/scouts. And we need to get a better youth system, maybe learn from ajax, psv, boca juniors, liverpool, man utd,bayern munich and etc. If we have a great youth system, we dont have to put our faith in "big name" signings. Then we could have more to pick from, and wouldnt go around with only a first team 11. I say, lets get in a good manager, which the club and the fans approve. Lets get in a Director Of Football, so the manager can concentrate on the football and not lots of other stuff. Then we should give him time to build up his own team, and get rid of the over paid injury-prone/lazy players. Get the wage bill down all over, and get a fine mixture of talented and experienced players. We need to get the next Scholes, Terry(might be taylor), or Gerrard. And those players love thei club, and will do everything the can to win something at their clubs. The only way I can see us getting such quality players with the hearth in our club, is if we get them out of our own youth system. We need to find star players at very young age, and build out our scouting network in Europe, south america and asia. Have connections which can inform us when they see great players, so we can buy them at a cheap price. If you all see at the top 4, they all have "home grown" players who is central in the team, and they also have a great scouting network. Maybe its time to learn something from them?

I think Mr Parker will be back, but he needs time after that illnes he had. And Roeder should put him in special training, so I wouldnt write Parker off just yet. And maybe run some tactical training on him, because he has the abilities, but he doesnt seem like a smart enough player. And for god sake, we should only use him as a Def midfield. And he should be our captain, because he doesnt speak enough to the players. So I think Parker has the potenial to be a top 4 club player, but he isnt there today. Top 4 potential: Given, Taylor, duff, Solano(RB), Milner, N'Zogbia, Duff, Parker, Butt, Owen, and Martins.I will say they have the potenial or is up there all ready. I cant understand why you guys say Emre? What does Emre really got for abilities? Maybe he would work in a kaka role for us, were he didnt have to do so much defensive work. Defensivly, he is a mess. He is bad at getting in position, he always runs forward in full speed trying to get the ball from the other team, with the other player just taking a step to the right or left and emre is suddenly 10 yards away on the wrong side. I dont think his passing has been great the times I have seen him, his dribbling doesnt seem like doing much good, most of the time i have seen him dribble he has gone backwards or into 3-4 players of the other team. How many goals has he scored this season? Have ppl seen his freekicks? waste of time and money. And he isnt a good header. So can someone please tell me, what are his strenghts on the pitch, and why would he suit the top 4?

I would vote Taylor for captain. Come threw our rankings, has a top personality, and is villing to offer his life for Newcastle. One of our most commited guys, and has a great talent. He seems like a leader, and i believe he can motivate the rest. Parker looks past it, he looks like butt did before he went to birmingham.

What a great player Kaka is. Look at the goals, the finnishes he has. Fucking great that second goal, he makes it look so easy. Just chipping it over a player, then head it between two, and puts it perfect down in the right corner. That is lovely!!

I dont think parker is a great captain. Shearer was a great captain, and that wasnt because he was a good football player. A captain needs to be a leader, like Roy Keane, Shearer, and Gerrard. They need to talk to rest, motivate them, work their socks off for the club. I dont think we have any players with those abilities, Taylor and Butt are the closes ones in my eyes to be the captain. I think Taylor should have a go at Captain, it could be good for him and the rest of the team. He seems to me to be a player that speaks up, and he often looks motivated and energic. Butt is more of a quiet player, and I think he might have what it takes, but I think he is better when he can focus on just himself. For me Parker is a good player, but you dont see him running around like Shearer and Keane trying to get the ppl to focus on the game. Or run around like a mad man chasining the ball and trying to lift the team. We need a leader, and should really focus on getting one. Right now we have followers, but noone to lead our players. Give us a young Keane or Gerrard....

Agree with you here. Dont know what ppl really see in emre, everytime I have seen him play, he looks shite. He has no tactical skills so what ever, allways rush into players hoping to take the ball, and they just take the ball to teh side and run around him. He makes the midfield look wide open. If we get 3M+ We should really sell him!

Next season Roeder will get sacked after 4-8 games. We will chant for Hitzfeld again, ppl will see him walking around i Newcastle. And we will end up with Peter Reid. Our stock will drop to a record low, Fat Fred will buy out the rest of the share holders.. We will in about 5 years end up like Wimbledon.

Carew has been great for Norway the last few matches he has played. I didnt like him before, but he seems to be a class player now. I would worry about his injuries, Think if he came to england he would be up there with Iversen and Solskjaer on the injury list. Thats the problem with Norwegian player who comes to England, they are way to much injured. I think it is because they are not use to the amount of training, in norway we only play football for 2-3 months, with a summer brake in the midle of the season. I would easily take carew on a loan deal, we dont need another injured player tbh.

Pellegrino wasnt a miss, he was a hit. He was nothing but a short time signing. He was their and helped their younger players + helped the team learning benitez defensive structur. Zonal marking on corners and stuff like that. Didnt they win the CL with him in the team ?

The thing that is wrong,ppl get to easy freekicks. I miss the old days when players wasnt so protected by the "rules". When a player win the ball, and take the other player, it shouldnt be a foul. To much brake in todays matches.

Whenever I like to, I get to run out and play football infront of 52.000 fans who screems my name and hope i'll stay injury free. When I have played 15-20 min im tired and need to rest and just say im injured and get a holiday for 2 months again. Getting 60k+ a week for doing nothing, that must be great eh ? :winking:
