  1. Arrived yesterday. St Petersburg seems lovely. It’s weird not a lot of people from Finland travel here even though its like a 3 hour train trip normally. Now the trains arent running so had to come by car. Off to the Finland fan bar to get things started next!
  2. Best option would've been to end it in a 0-0 draw and move on. I guess there are some rules saying its not allowed but.....
  3. We did a pretty good job of keeping them out from dangerous positions though. Their xG was 2.05 and with 0,8 of that coming from that nonsense penalty. Not bad considering all the possession.
  4. I wasn't there. Going to the next two matches. Dont really know what to think. It doesnt feel like we just won our first game at a major tournament. The images of him getting cpr are stuck on my head. And the feeling of thinking that I'm right now watching him die on that pitch. Just have to focus on the fact he's ok and I'm sure the mood will be totally different once we get to St Petersburg.
  5. So proud of my many friends who were there today. Im sure a lot of fans would’ve behaved the same but only they had to. Get well soon Christian.
  6. 3pts in the bag and im heading to St Petersburg next week. HOWAY!
  7. WHAT THEEEE FUUUUUUCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Thought it’d be hard to care anymore but damn I shouted loud there.
  9. Players were asked what to do. Still amazing. He has to be really well for players to agree to that.
  10. No way in hell any of the players will agree to step back in the pitch.
  11. Photographer said he saw him putting a hand on his head when they were walking him out. And moving his eyes.
  12. Finnish studio was just ”we cant say anything right now” followed by weeping. Jesus christ why do they put them into that position, just cut to some highlights from another game or something.
  13. Phew. Pretty fucking emotional day. I've been on constant goosebumbs and some tears from the moment I woke up today. Just going through all the videos, highlights and songs for the 100th time. I've been going to our games from a young kid with my dad and thought for years this day wouldn't come during his lifetime or mine. So many years of shit, some years of almosts and a loooot of hurt. Our football team has been like a laughing stock in Finland for years and always compared to icehockey and how well they're doing. Now finally it's our time to be the center of attention and national pride. I can say without any doubt that the day we qualified was the best day of my life so far. I dont think today or the matches next week when I'll be at the stadium will quite match that but it'll be damn close. OI SUOMI ON!
  14. Feels weird that the day is actually here after all this wait since the qualification https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzsCRY08eZI IM NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING!
  15. Cool BBC interview with one of the best not so well know (?) keepers in the world Finland goalkeeper Lukáš Hrádecký on saunas, beer and the Euros https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09kx0lq
  16. Jeesuuus. Im trying to buy tickets for Sweden-Slovakia as we have so many days off in St Petersburg. UEFA's ticketing site is so slow its impossible to complete the purchase within the 15min period it holds your tickets I've tried 5 times now, different times of day as well.
