Problem is, it's actually really difficult to "sink" in this league. Even with an abysmal run of form, the shit is so stale and thick at the bottom that it'll prop Newcastle up for ages. We'd need two months of rancid form to really threaten breaking into the relegation battle again, and then it wouldn't take much to remove themselves.

Love you for getting this

Only side in the top half with negative goal difference. Quite telling (with the aid of context, of course).

You don't need to be anything but a good team this year. Newcastle are fifth. Chelsea aside, there's no one to have confidence stringing wins together for fun. I'm not sure about that. It may be true for right now, but I don't see Man Utd and Arsenal having almost infinite defensive injuries for the whole season. Both of those sides are a few fit defenders from getting a good run of form together. They traditionally finish the season stronger as well, especially Arsenal in recent years. Southampton have played Tottenham and Liverpool of the supposedly top sides so far and that's it. We'll know a lot more about their real potential after December and January, where their fixture run is literally horrendous. They play a top side for about 6/8 games at one point. Perhaps I don't personally see both Man Utd and Arsenal hitting the heights, but Southampton might slump really badly. I just don't expect them to fall away as many would expect night to follow day, I guess.

Cunts won't even win my bet, but they'll take away my FF clean sheet. Motherfuckers

Villa missing 3 centre halves against won-11-out-of-last-12 Southampton: Soton -1 @ 9/5 - tempting

Don't want players who can run and keep the ball when you're down to ten to alleviate the pressure.

The Wenger hate is a bit much - if they'd converted a respectable fraction of their chances, they'd be home and dry. Desperately missing Walecott (which I didn't think I'd be saying a few years back with the way he used to finish)

"My best mate is Jewish" Well, I guess the only thing left is for him to speak to his PR advisors and to heed their advice and win back the adulation and love of the Jewish community by going to a Jewish fundraiser. Could this guy be more of a type-A dinosaur?
