Thought he was talking about the game in April 1970 when Pop Robson grabbed a hatrick and Bobby Charlton got a late consolation

Have we started the 2022/3 thread already?

No team has stayed up with 5 points from 11 games...stuff happens...but we are safe now

I took my two boys to Juventus in the CL for their first game. We were living in Manchester but visiting Newcastle. They were aged 3 and 4. The youngest slept through the second half. Both still big fans. -
At the other end of the scale you can look back on some golden names for us poor spellers....step forward: Rob Lee

We are getting more correct decisions. Any change takes time to become properly effective. The problem here, and elsewhere, isn't the technology but how to develop a set of new procedures that make best use of that technology. I would suggest that a common fault is that technology is added to an existing process rather than creating a brand new process and this is what we have in football now.

Better on FIFA. Squad player.

Of course there will still be reviews for complex decisions but incidents like the Sterling offside goal on Sunday will be called within seconds.
-
Can we just buy Brighton and use them as a feeder club?
-
Very soon offside will be a computer check in real time. Just like the ref getting an alert that the ball has crossed the line there will be an alert saying offside. Technology being trialled in junior tournaments already.

Sorry for being ambiguous. I literally meant wearing a red top, as in Man Yoo or lfc
-
You don't need to do much to win a pen if you have a red top mind
-
Agree. Two other things to note: As soon as Joelinton breaks into space Wood sprints to get on the shoulder of the defender. It is a well timed pass and run that takes out the defender and draws SA into a challenge. Wood has had an indifferent start but had some good moments on Friday.

After reading this forum, via Alex, I bet he includes his coaching team in his trophy picture if he wins -
Because we needed a striker immediately. We need a DoF for the long haul. The team that negotiated January can manage post-season. If DoF is a salary of £1m pa at Brighton then asking for £5m is an insult to Ashworth; they have been under paying him.

Just goes to show how far we have to go to challenge the top four places. Need to play Bruno. I thought the second half Howe was trying to see how he could play both Bruno and Shelvey.
-
Len Shackleton keeps everyone happy, maybe Bob Moncur too

I think that as we go into next season that the EPL should make clear that any cynical foul is a red and that any shirt holding in the box is a pen. It will be Messi for a month or two but then we will have our game back.
-
Possibly now that Bielsa has gone
-
Would love Phillips partnering Bruno next season...so Leeds down

Gary Player I think

Mostly just after voting closes; but in Russia they like to do things earlier whereas in the USA much much later.
