Tbh the members email could be an awful lot more concise. I don't really care what Leicester fans are doing or what's happening at Bury. Lots of repetition between emails too, it's like a fanzine itself. If an email printed out is bigger than an A4 page it should be a web page instead.

Just realised, Steve Bruce is exactly the manager we want for the long term health of this club (i.e. getting Ashley out). High probability of being relegated, increasing chances of a period of time out of the PL gravy train and SD reduced exposure. So in this respect, is it possible to support Bruce in a 'it's not really his fault he's shit' kind of way and enjoy the ride down to the Championship, safe in the knowledge that this is the best scenario for the long term?

Cisse was literally the best striker in the world for the 6 months from when he arrived. He would get one or two half chances a game and score a worldy with each shot. I remember our tactics distinctly, Pardew had no idea how to set us up for when we had the ball. Plan A was to put Ba and Cisse on the last defenders and have Cabaye and Tiote sit on the toes of Colo. All our defenders and keeper were tasked with lumping it as far up the pitch as possible, which would bounce of an opposing defender's head and fall somewhere inbetween our attack and midfield who were too far back to contest the second ball. Then, once the opposition had the ball, Tiote and Cabaye would press for the mistake and try to launch a quick counter if they won the ball. If not, let Krul receive a long-shot or similar from the opponents' attack and repeat the process. It was god-awful to watch and I hated every match I saw. Even at the time I was saying that were doing well in the league despite Alan Pardew, and without him I think with the players in the form that they were, we would have finished 4th.

I think measuring any financial impact purely in NUFCs finances as a way to see how hard it hits Ashley is missing the point. It's like thinking boycotts will annoy him because of the missed gate revenue (which has invariably already been collected by the ST payment anyway). Its about damaging the SD brand by associating it with a fanbase who refuse to sit next to SD branding and empty stadia. NUFC finances are nothing to him other than a nice cash generator. It's the exposure of SD in the global market by being in the Premier League that makes his millions by indirectly building the SD brand. But if things keep going the way they are for SD with it basically becoming the Pound Land of clothing, the perceived brand exposure might be worth less and less to the value of the club itself. When SD goes under, I don't see him selling NUFC to keep it going. I think he'll double down and become an Oyston-esque-owner. God help us.
