Yup, a pity. Would have gone for a couple if it wasn't for that. Makes the Ben Arfa 10 stand out more Wouldn't mind being able to put a word under the number 10: 'Hope' as well tbh.

Such a poor opinion. Indeed, can't think of a shallower more vacuous club than Newcastle tbh.

Selling Tim Krul Maybe? Thought your signature said "Peppe is a c***" at first, and I was like: I dislike Minhosa's signature innately.
-
Was he f***. He was always involved in play deeper back. Howay man, false number 9? Its bullshuttler Watch like 90% of his goals man. Les lived in the box. Not sure how this ended up with Les Ferdinand, but I remember he scored a goal with his arse from closer to the half way line than the opposing goal vs Dmitri Kharine. Man's a legend.

Says? Some Belgian newspaper. La Derniere Heure. Read that as deriere or however you spell it, and thought what an odd name for a newspaper. Now I'm wondering if somewhere there is a bum hour, that would be awesome.

Need to change the thread title a la Steven Taylor, would be handier to say 'Currently uninjured' or something, as that is a rarer occurrence than not.

It's so unfashionable to want to hope

McClaren - "Wij, gonna put you up against Iron this morning. Get a feel for the type of defender you'll face in the Premier League". Wij - "Ok boss, but I don't think there's another defender in the league like 'Iron'". McClaren - "I know, but don't tell him that".

Am I allowed to say I'm still keeping my fingers crossed? Mitrovic and Wijnaldum are top quality signings considering our 'stature'.
-
If this is the standard us club mbembas are going to have to put up with, I think I'll chancel my ST.
-
Sorry if Giggs, Christ, it really hits home watching Cathro coach one group and McClaren the other, that we had Pardew and Carver before. Even got Wijnaldum arriving!
-
Lombardo / Armstrong imo.

Newcastle Airport, gateway to Sunderland.

Shitsco? It's only fair now.

I agree with you I still don't get the majority reaction to Enrique leaving either, he was fantastic for us and when it was apparent we weren't going anywhere he wanted to leave. Would people prefer players that don't want to leave and aren't ambitious? Like a team full of Eddie McGoldricks?
-
I mean I'm surprised we didn't take a punt on him for <£1m, young, English etc.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33410727 McEachran to Brentford. When he came on against us in the (League?) Cup a few years ago, he looked like frickin' Pirlo with the passes he was making and the space he made for himself, I thought off the back of that performance alone he'd go on to be an absolute rock for England, give us something we've been missing since Beckham. Where did it all go so wrong?

I don't think Ronaldo, Aguero or Robben have either tho. NAILEDON

Not too sure tbh, a striker who can bag goals in a poor side signed for £6m for us many years ago and became a legend by setting the record for consecutive PL games scored in and then an England striker shortly after.

What a tosser Won't even bother.

Has absolutely exceptional ball control. You don't want Perez playing with his back to goal. Where did I say that? The lad has absolutely exceptional ball control, not just a good all-rounder. That doesn't mean he should now be Duncan Fergusonando.

When your club never tries to win anything, never will live up to expectations, the best you can hope for is good drama to talk about and get involved in. Balotelli would be fucking awesome

http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1823&teamTabs=managers Coming up on 20 years since we last had a foreign (non-UK&Ireland) manager. That's almost unheard of in the modern day game in the top flight. Not saying it's the best way to do things, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Reckon it would be viable to have a whip round to get the new gaffer that Korean eyelid surgery? He's been living his life through a pinhole camera and become a reasonable football manager, just imagine what he could achieve if he could actually see a football match properly.
