Didn't know my ACL had gone until the next day when I couldn't drive to work.. (clutching knee) definitely could walk off a pitch depending on severity.
  2. So he doesn't then Choice of wording tickled me
  3. Colback, the new Scott Parker? Was the antichrist whilst here, when he went people realized how much he made us tick. So much sideways.
  4. Can it please be said now, if this is going to be another one of those 'we're gonna play absolutely shit yet finish 5th' seasons, to remind yourself to remember we got there despite Pardew, not because of him. Took me 3 years of banging my head against a wall before most agreed.
  5. Looks like he's got a glittery David Seaman ponytail >.<

    La Liga 14/15

Would love to be corrected, but I dont think true genius has ever come close to being passed down from father to son. I think most of the 'fathers' come from a lot less, so have more desire and fire etc..
  7. http://i60.tinypic.com/f9egg.png broke the formatting of the pie chart.

    Awful defender? Christ.
  9. Bellamy is a jumped-up ignorant worm - had a decent spell at NUFC under SBR but has always been a trouble-maker and stirrer. Not worth a tuppeny toss... A 'decent spell'. He was very arguably our best player for the 3 seasons we finished in our highest positions since Keegan. Robert <3
  10. Good shout, forgot about that lad. Not a world beater by any means with us, seemed to get better with age especially after he left us IIRC.
  11. Still remember the days when we couldn't sign a full back at all, since Barton/Pearce the best we had was Babayaro/Carr.. *shudder* Then through Domi to Olivier Bernard there was finally some hope that we could have some capable full backs again. With Enriqué it was the first time we'd had a top-drawer LB since Pearce. Then Beye/Debuchy/Janmaat, Santon looks good most of the time too. I feel blessed with the full backs we've had it this club recently, such horrible positions for us for such a long time.
  12. Just read that. What are they thinking - will he succeed? Nevermind. A one hour old article says Real Sociedad and Moyes did not agree as he was "too expensive" for them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29976327 ?
  13. We'll do even better now Coloccini is injured, the less players he has to choose from, the better he does.
  14. We're GUNNA WIN DA LEAGUE OF INJURIES! On a serious note, if the choices are removed from Pardew in team selection, we seem to do alright. Armstrong ahead of Riviere in the match day squad is quite a step up for the lad too. http://i59.tinypic.com/34q4vol.png
  15. f*** off man. Hes done nothing wrong. Hes worked hard and played some good forward balls. "played well" "done nothing wrong" "tidy" Hard to see work-rate off the ball when watching on TV, but the fact we haven't conceded the midfield is partially down to Colback doing the Tiote role.
  16. Why would you expect anything else? He's been doing it from the first weekend he started managing this club.
  17. TBF they were even when we played against each other in the fizzy pop league when they come up with us. Dorrans ran that team.

Easy way to solve diving is to implement two things - one, insert rule that players must at all times try their best to stay on their feet. If the ref believes they don't, they don't get a freekick/pen awarded. Second is to implement a standard post-game review panel that looks at the footage of each match and anyone kicking at players or stuff not spotted by the ref, including diving, gets punished harshly. You'd see probably a lot less free kicks, a lot less penalties in the short term, but over time once the review panels dish out post-match cards (yellows/reds) enough times, the game will become really free-flowing again. Would probably only take 5-6 matches into a season too.
  19. All that's true but I don't understand who he'd be doing the favour for. In fact Ashley doesn't strike me as the favour-doing type anyway. Could someone connect the dots for me? Sanctioned the signing of player Ignacio Gonzalez (IIRC) purely as a favour to a South American agent, came up in an employment tribunal (law-binding).
