Calumn McManaman will never be forgiven for what he tried to do to Haidara, leaving that aside, he looked a right a handful in the season they went down. I thought he'd go on to bigger things quite quickly, could of seen him going to West Ham.
  2. Try playing Suarez so far ahead of the closest central players behind Perez (Colback and Anita) and only thump long balls to him as a lone striker and see how well he does.
  3. Dodgy first 15 minutes, but got into his rhythm and seemed to have some confidence to try things. Promising.
  4. doubt that bit like Selling Newcastle for anything more than £0 is a massive profit, look at the numbers. Off the top of my head, Sports Direct shares, last summer were up over 400% from when he first bought the club. It's served its purpose magnificently for him.
  5. The thing is he's not tight at all, he just hates the fans.
  6. Trevor Morley. Could include Ian Bishop if we get desperate. If we're lax on one vowel in the criteria, could include old messer Joey Barton too.
  7. If you only count his Chelsea career, owld man Hilário runs him close. 20 games = UEFA Champions League: 2011–12 UEFA Europa League: 2012–13 Premier League: 2009–10 FA Cup: 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2011–12 Football League Cup: 2006–07 FA Community Shield: 2009; Runner-up 2010 But I'm counting the whole career as stated
  8. Peggy Arphexad, most players are measured on goals per game, or goals conceded per game. But no-one comes close to Arphexad's honors per game. 6 major honours including the UEFA cup in only 39 appearances in his entire career shows that this player must be one of the most successful footballers of all time, in terms of games played. It works out that after every 6 or 7 games played, he ended up receiving a medal of some sort!
  9. I'm not sure. He has been playing the same level for quite a few games after and before the World Cup as well. Has he been having fitness issues all year? why wouldn't he do something about it? Genuine questions. When watching him in the World Cup he could barely it looked like he was running through lead at times. Maybe all of the football he has played has caught up with him? It's not an unusual thing in modern football for players that played a lot in their teens/early 20s to peak earlier and have some sort of a decline around 27/28. Could be physical degradation related to his artificially accelerated growth through puberty exacerbated by the levels to which his body is pushed as a professional footballer.
  10. Speaks volumes that no1 cba to reply to this, no1 cares about that c*nt Ronaldo lol. Even though I do think he's the best player in the world at this moment in time.
  11. When Brazil beat us in the World Cup with the 3 Rs against us, and that Ronaldinho free kick from 45 yards on the touchline that went in.. those were the days.
  12. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo or Neymar, Suarez and Messi
  13. Never realized Lyon had won Ligue 1 7 years in a row, staggering. There were always some good French teams too, Marseille, Monaco, PSG in spurts too.
  14. Honestly it seems like a case of having your cake and eating it Can't people just be happy that he's gone, without now trying to start a personal crusade to persuade people, NUFC fans or not, how bad he is? Time will show how great Alan "5th in the league" Pardew is with Palace. I for one refuse to read any articles or look at a Palace forum about him, because I just know it's going to be tripe and rile me up.
  15. Can't stop players wanting to further their careers, unless you're literally in the top 3 or 4 teams in the league, you're not going to keep your best players if one of those wants them and is willing to pay the going rate. Even then, if Barcelona or Real Madrid want a player, even Chelsea or Manchester City won't be able to keep them. The trick is to re-invest* the money on further talents that will also grow, until you get to the point where you have so much quality through the team that it can break into the top 3 or 4 in its own right. *
  16. Ignacio María González MkII.
  17. Wtf is going on with Jack Flash's sig lol.
  18. 2 Geordies, 1 of which is playing for Wales, and one cockney
  19. The only glimmer of hope is that he's worked with Bobby and Bobby's team, he knows about getting the flair on the pitch being vital. Hopefully 4 years of bending over for Pardew hasn't completely brainwashed him.
