Sounds about as anonymous as Best vs Wigan
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15452750.stm I have a lot of time for Mick to be fair
  3. After a broken jaw, a nose isn't so bad tbh. At least you can still breathe through your mouth, it's a bit harder chewing through the nose.
  4. To the tune of Rupert The Bear (Phillip Albert-Laurent Robert 2011/12 Mag-Mix): “Yohan, Yohan Cabaye, everyone knows his name!” lol thank you
  5. Just wondering if you completely forgot Keane or are you saying Ince/Butt were a different type of player?
  6. As somebody asked who he ran off to : http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/10/24/yohan-cabaye-thanks-fans-for-song-he-doesn-t-understand-61634-29648313/ And my question is, can someone tell me the words and tune of the song for Cabaye

    Alan Pardew

No hatred for Pardew here, only praise. I don't agree with his selection policy but that's just my point of view, he appears to be the expert at man management and so long as the squad is happy and we're winning games I will bow to his superior knowledge. I also am thoroughly enjoying the fact that we have probably the most motivated manager in the league, as he's working his ass off to repay his gambling debts Am still a big Ashley hater though, guy is a billionaire that won't put money into the club, other than the money used to acquire it.
  8. Doubt that bringing Eliot has "evolved" the squad in anyway. It's the definition.
  9. Pardew is just evolving the squad. Always better to have younger, hungrier players with potential on the bench rather than older, second-rate players (when compared with the first team) who would be there to just pick up their money every week. Obviously Harper has served us well, but we don't owe him anything, and it's his own fault that he still isn't playing top-flight football as he could have left to get it and develop into a better keeper who could still play well to this day.
  10. Cabaye's never had the ball. Tiote's been our best player by a country mile.
  11. Ba has been completely anonymous. Simpson's been dire. Couple of obvious changes to be made.
  12. You started it. Let's try again then, how would he get into the team currently? Portugal of the late 90's and early 00's, were a team of attacking midfielders propped up by a very good target man, Nuno Pinto. His job was to receive the ball, hold it up, and lay it off to his advancing team mates. Everything he did in his time here suggests he could do that aplomb. Himself up front with Ba, or alone would definitely fit into our playstyle. He could actually offer something in the build up play, which Best cannot do. I believe it's important to have a player up front dragging defenders about and running the channels to make space for our creative midfield to exploit. Players like Ben Arfa and (when he finally gets in the team) Marveaux (sp)

Drink driving is a bit different to assaulting someone. Drink driving conveys a complete disregard and at most contempt for all other human life that you have chosen to be put at risk by your own selfish actions. Knowing someone that had his partner of 7 years killed by a drunk driver as they walked hand in hand on the pavement in a city center hones your view somewhat of what these people are like.
  14. You would take him back for £35m? Seriously? f***ing hell man. Why not? Rather have the money spent on the club than not. We wouldn't have gained/lost anything, whereas right now we are out of pocket by one future England no. 9. Future England No. 9. p*ss off man. I'd rather not have him here for any money, he wouldn't get in the team currently and it really will not be long until he is properly found out. Attempting to belittle someone's replies with laughing smilies and words blocked by the swear filter won't make me change my mind. I disagree on both your points.

  16. Old arguments here, but I will repeat, would take him back for 35m or less, with the interest accrued it doesn't matter on the fee we'd have still made money. People under delusions still that money for sold players will be invested in players and not in more SD advertising boards and stores. Oh right, agent fees, they were invented about a year ago right?

    The England Thread

Wouldnt' take Rooney in a million years. If we get through to the last 16/quarters it'll be cause he isn't playing. And what does that say to the people filling in? Hypocrisy
  18. The 4th longest domestic league unbeaten run in English football history.

Bet he's telling Ryan that the left side is actually the right too! Seriously, whatever works and this is some funny stuff. Imagine if Saylor had come out with what Pardew had said Eh? We were playing downhill.
