  1. Would say he did a lot more than nothing. He was a fantastic left back with us and his ability to maraud down the left flank was awesome. Aye, about 4 year earlier when we originally signed him, never made an appearance after this second signing man. Ah yep you're right.
  2. Would say he did a lot more than nothing. He was a fantastic left back with us and his ability to maraud down the left flank was awesome. He's been atrocious, never scored a Premier League goal and doesn't look like he ever will, signed a new 5 year contract and will waste away costing the club money. Was the definition of useless. On evidence so far looks horrid. Other than these 4 it's fairly accurate. Nice work
  3. Always comes across well in interviews. Enjoyed the Football Focus one he just did.

    Nobby Solano

Couldn't be bothered reading the Gascoigne wall of text, but I'd read a memoir on Nobby.
  5. I remember this coming up before and having to quote someone on the Good Friday Agreement being 'batshit'. As others have said, he is perfectly entitled to choose which country he plays for. Having lived in Dublin and having traveled to Belfast many times myself it's completely understandable. Regardless, he does need to communicate how he is feeling, maybe he still hasn't decided yet, and let those in power know what the story is, it's simple courtesy.
  6. Because he's bitter. After both himself and his stupid agent were deluded enough to believe Arsenal would even consider signing him. Well, according to him, if it wasn't for the Gervinho incident there may have been some grounding to it.
  7. Would love him as our next boss.

    The England Thread

Mind you, Cahill is a far better defender than Taylor, no matter what the table says. You could argue that point over starting the match, but surely not for the squad.

    The England Thread

Capello is a joke, doesn't pick players on form and is stubborn as a mule. Picks a defender for a club who's conceded the most goals in the first 7 games in Premier League history over another who currently is part of a defence that has conceded the fewest goals in the top 4 divisions in England.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

The lad's a nutter a la Gascoigne, probably just flat out refuses to play for reservers, believes himself to be a godly player and is current disillusioned why he wasn't put straight into the starting lineup as soon as he was fit (rightly or wrongly). Hope we get him accommodated asap so we can benefit from his nutty genius.

  12. Much easier to read if u click the link btw http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/lukeedwards/100019791/newcastle-united-are-benefiting-from-low-expectations-rather-than-suffering/? Jesus is that the first piece of accurate mainstream journalism of the fans of this club?
  13. Prepare for the deluge of people that think we're OK with Leon Best.
  14. Wow, the hate towards Kluivert is astounding. Did any of you actually watch him play when he first turned up? He offered so much more than Shearer, and one of Bobby's mistakes was not dropping Shearer for him.

In pretty much any organisation, a contract will have a clause that any action you do which could reflect badly on the brand/company as a whole by being part of said brand/company will be construed as gross misconduct and a sackable offence. See Adrian Mutu at Chelsea. NUFC would retain his player registration but sack the player.
  16. Just turn your swear filter off. Dave you just got a big WHOOOOOSH lol

    Leon Best

God, how could I forget! We actually have way too much talent. We should look to sell some in January just to give others a chance. Interesting... /MA

    Leon Best

In teams gone by, we could complain about these so called 'luxury players' like Owen up front, who offer nothing else but goals. With the players behind him though, it does work for us now.

  20. Thought we'd come out of this and QPR with zero points, very pleased.
  21. Toon @ Villa Park 2010/11 lost 0-1 2008/09 lost 0-1 2007/08 lost 1-4 Owen 2006/07 lost 0-2 not expecting much
  22. Oh, aye. Lot of branding was there? /no, no there wasn't. I think someone's forgetting here the purpose of this club.
  23. Just need to gently steer people's Tiote frustrations towards the Sports Direct American Tour...
  24. From what I've seen the manager seems to have very little idea about the players who have been brought in and is using the players he knows instead. It seems very similar to the situation at West Ham where the owners brought in Mascherano and Tevez and Pardew, not knowing how to deploy them, reverted to picking his tried and trusted championship cloggers. Tron doing his usual dropping of big assumptions into the mix. How so? Analysis based on fact. I concur More to it than 'Pardew not knowing how to deploy them', isn't there? Has been discussed over and over again here. Like batting off wave after wave of ignorant posters this. I apologize if I don't agree with the fact that Pardew knows what he's doing and that he's a Premier League level manager. Sacked from Southampton because he didn't know how to work with a squad of players (reportedly). So the second half of last season was a total fluke? Must have been Somehow managed to steel 8 points in 4 games this season as well. The lucky swine. You wouldn't be far from my point of view there to be honest lol.
