James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
Karjala replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Two big ifs, but if we signed Maddison and Wilson stayed fit, it would be the difference between 8th and 5th. -
Someone on the phone in last night saying "i expect us to be competing at the top, but think we'll just miss out on the top 6" What planet are these living on? No end of lucky last minute goals got them to squeeze into the L1 play-offs and now with the same team they are going to be competing for a play-off spot?! If they finish 18th that would be a massive achievement.

They were all desperate for Neill to get a long term contract when they beat the mighty Oxford United, and i can see him being the first one sacked in 2 or 3 months time.
-
People usually order a size up from DHGate?
-
He's managed more than 8 PL goals in a season twice in his career. While i agree, IF, IF, IF he could stay fit he would be capable of 20 goals, history tells us that very unlikely to happen, unfortunately.
-
was pretty sure Sheff Wed would beat them over two legs. 50/50 Final now, on one hand the mackems lucky last minute goals run has to come to an end, on the other, they really are lucky as fuck and will be again.
-
Think that win today turns it for Everton now, 3 unexpected points and now they'll get enough to stay up. Think Leeds could be on their way now, but, so hard to predict.
-
As it stands they've got the team i reckon is most likely to beat them, in the play-off semis. Still, fingers crossed they continue their role as the gift that keeps on giving this weekend. What is it now, 12 unbeaten? and probably should have lost 5 of those.

History tells you Wilson is unlikely to get you 10 goals (he's done it twice in 7 PL seasons) - he can't be our go to next season, as much as i like him when he's fit.
-
If we've got a genuine goal-scorer next season, can't see why we cant be looking at the top 7. We've only played half the season, our top scorer (with a whopping 6 goals) has missed the majority of games, and we are still only 3 wins short of West Ham in 7th. Mental really.
-
As said, huge match for them at Plymouth, and again at home to Rotherham. Again, if it wasnt for all the last second goals, they'd be well short of the play-offs now and they'd be hounding the latest manager out.
-
Last minute winners have gained them at least 8 points in recent weeks, otherwise they'd be well short of the play-offs. Hopefully the luck runs out soon!
-
Massive 3points against a difficult team to beat, and a team we should be looking to finish above next season! 3pts off 9th now... E I E I E I O
-
Maxi once again showing why we were able to sign him.
-
4 more points will do it, though I'm really not sure we'll get them over the next 3 games, and if we don't then it'll be worrying again.
-
Loss or draw at home to Burton makes little difference, these are really, really bad. Wigan away next, fingers crossed for a cricket score and Neil Out banners!
-
2-1 win. Would be a massive 3pts
-
Their guaranteed 6 game winning run hasn't started too well, 0 from 4 ? They are in freefall... Next game, the mighty Burton Albion
-
Shame Wycombe could only get a 5-5 home draw or it'd be even worse for the unwashed ?
-
Aye, its literally full of laughs, mostly because you know what's coming in the end!
-
Could play at Darlington arena (25k capacity) for a season, club could put on free buses down.
-
I'd take a point at West Ham right now.
-
Our kids went to a primary school in Durham and every other week each kid could have 2 free tickets plus 2 half price IIRC, and the take-up was very low - I personally only know one family who went once, and never again.

How much did Liverpool spend on their recent expansion and for how many extra seats? Think their current expansion is around £60m for 8000 seats isn't it?
