Did you get sorted? Durham Mags have spare seats on their bus, and so do Sedgefield mags I think

Can't see past City, Arsenal and Liverpool for the top 3. So, that's the rest of us fighting for the 4-7th spots. Think manure are going to have a poor season, and they might miss out altogether.

Just like Tripper was getting a slating at one point last season, Bruno has been a target on here and facebook so far this season. Hopefully this week, and this game stops the negativity. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

If you included the Welsh teams, I wonder how many European ties they've played in their history

In the past week i've seen our fans have regular pops at Bruno, Tonali, Burn and even Isak. Just 2 seasons ago we had a starting line up including Clark, Krafth, Ritchie, Shelvey and Hayden. Some fans have short memories.
-
Yeah realise he played against Villa, he was superb that day. I was more highlighting all the matches where its been even more difficult opposition, and he hasnt scored a hat-trick in each.

Tonali has just arrived not even a couple of months ago, and has so far played Man City, Liverpool (both recent European Champions), a excellent Brighton side and AC Milan (Champions League semi-finalists a few months back), and seems he's almost being written off by some. Unbelievable. Between Radio Newcastle and Facebook, there's all sorts being said about him. 2 seasons ago we had the options of Hendrick, Hayden and Shelvey. Give the lad some time.

Probably coming into this all a bit late (currently 9hrs behind the UK time) but i honestly can't believe the negativity from our 'fans' after getting a point at the San Siro against a team who made the Champions League semi-finals a few months ago. Between Radio Newcastle's phone in and facebook, i've read/heard more negatives than positives, including Bruno, Tonali and even Isak being shite. OK, i totally get we've not been firing on all cylinders, but we've lost to two teams who have both recently been the European champions, and a excellent Brighton side, and now the performance away to AC Milan is being questioned. Its going to be a long season this one, and we can't press absolutely everything when we are constantly playing a match every 3 or 4 days. You could argue we shouldn't even be in the Champions League yet, surely its all a bonus, and a point away is be cheered.

nufc.com has details of the nufc friendly area.

Tuesday evening in Durham will be 90% students. Of the football fans that are out watching it, i'd expect more NUFC fans, but can't see there being many. Half Moon might be your best bet, and will probably be light on students. I'll admit its a good while since i watched a Newcastle match in Durham, but i think Lloyds Bar will show it, if you want drinks on the cheaper side. If you want a full on student experience with rip off drinks, try The Library.

Wonder what percentage of this forum watched the Brentford match, and what percentage of those we legitimate TV subscribers?

Got quite a few shirts off DHGate - Grandad collar & blue/maroon hoops from 95/96, Last seasons blue away shirt, this seasons home shirt and an England 96 one. I'm a size Large and got all of those in XL, all fit nicely, although the grandad collar is the tightest out of all. Castore ones spot on. I ordered 2 Home ones a few days after they came out, one XL Isak and one XXL Joelinton, and they sent 2 of each, for a total of £24. Interestingly their were 3 different designs out of those 4, (1 had Castore embroidered, 1 had the NUFC players shirt logo).

You'd think they were in the Champions League spots and we were in the league below the way the mackems i know are going on on facebook. (5 games in and they are 9th while we've lost to 2 teams who have been European Champions in the past 5 years and a good Brighton side.)
-
one of the worst, if not the worst performance under Howe that, second best all over the pitch. Thought Tonali looked good, then got subbed off?! Isak should have burried that one Tonali put on a plate for him. Joelinton and Bruno look like they've not had a preseason. 3 massive PL matches coming up to get our season going now, and then 3 more winnable after that.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Home games work out in pretty good order, PSG atmosphere will be electric, so too AC if a win would see us progress -
Wonder what Clarke and Roberts are going to be like now they are staying.

Liverpool and Heidenheim? I'm pretty sure they think they can beat us, i'm more thinking of the way the media would have everyone believe we've been drawn against 3 teams we've got no chance against. -

Dortmund threw away a 2 goal lead at home to Heidenheim yesterday, good to see. -
Point here then 3 winnable games (Brentford H, Sheff United A, Burnley H) and it wouldn't be a bad start 13 points from 7 games.

Relegation dog fight incoming!

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

What's the odds for qualifying from that group? -
£10m for someone who's 28 and has 10 championship goals as his career highlight.

Hoping for one glamour team, and then 2 we feel we are better than. Main goal for me would be finishing at least 3rd and continuing on with European matches.
