4-0 to Man U.
-
as we thought - the not foreign rumour was a load of shite.
-
unlucky every time you play arsenal aren't you?
-
Sevilla 1-1 Barca Henry put Barca ahead with a piece of individual skill on 24mins, before Capel equalised on 43mins. Canny game.
-
Not ANOTHER fuckin spuds fan on this board. Jesus christ, next you'll all be attending our matches in ya spuds shirts. (and getting the shite kicked out of ya)
-
O'Leary (I know he's not in a job) - fuckin hope not though.
-
nobody turning up for his unveiling at the Stoke replay (quite possibly) would do it.
-
Is Crumpy actually Alan Oliver?!
-
Yeah, Chelsea would probably settle for compensation I reckon, take a fair whack though. They know NUFC ain't challenging them, so more likely they would let him take over us.
-
Hughes, Redknapp and Moyes aren't any higher rated than Allardyce, and i wouldnt be any more excited about them. Not saying they couldnt do a good job, but it takes somebody really impressive to satisfy the nufc crowd, and I aint sure those 3 will last any longer. In which case, I'd just as rather Shearer got a chance. Jesus, we need to give a manager 3 seasons at least!

Out of all British managers in a job who would you be happy with?
-
Well, thats the things, its neither been confirmed true or false yet, and won't be until a new manager is appointed. As you say, a mediocre British manager wouldn't blow any fuckers socks off. But it has been confirmed, unless you think the club are lying about the manager they want not being foreign. What would they have to gain from that? All I'm saying is, last week it was confirmed Allardyce wasn't gonna be sacked. I won't believe any press releases until the new manager is announced.
-
Wouldn't be any more happy with any of those 3 than allardyce.

Unless Mort has his socks blown off by the idea of some mediocre English manager that story now apears to have been confirmed as utter shit. Well, thats the things, its neither been confirmed true or false yet, and won't be until a new manager is appointed. As you say, a mediocre British manager wouldn't blow any fuckers socks off.

" That was on Saturday night. On Sunday night I received a phone call from someone who works for one of the biggest agents in the world. He wanted Chris Mort's mobile number. On Monday the aforesaid top guy's representative contacted the United chairman who reported what he had told me at Chelsea. But then Chris Mort was suddenly given the name of someone who would like to manage Newcastle United. And I am told it nearly blew the chairman's socks off. I know the name of the top agent and his colleague who contacted me. But not the name of the would-be United manager. That has not stopped me wondering about it. The top man in question is friends with the Jose Mourinho camp. So has Jose been touted as Newcastle manager? Or Marcello Lippi, who is currently out of work? All I can say is watch this space."

Please please not fuckin McClownen.

This is my worst nightmare. Owen coming back from injury again?
-
The same people said last week that FSA wasn't leaving, so I wouldn't rule out the foreigner yet.
-
Something must be going on in the background, as Monday would have been the obvious time to get rid of Fat Sam results-wise. Maybes they got into contact with this 'top manager' last week, Stoke result wasn't great and talks have got more advanced to the stage where the new guy is as good as signed. I'm really confident somebody big is coming in, and fancy it to be Mourinho. Be a dream like.

Mourinho. Would take Van Gaal, Hiddink, Lippi, maybes Houllier. Might be ambitious but thats who i would WANT. Have a horrible feeling McClaren could be in the running though.
-
If it "blew the owners socks off" its gotta be someone better than Martin Jol, Houllier etc. Mourinho would be nice.

MUST have a top manager lined up, wouldn't make any sense to sack him otherwise. Now gives the new man 3 weeks of the transfer window and the rest of the season to plan on next year. Good move IF a top manager does come in.
