1. Woah, don't bite at me I'm agreeing with you. I don't think we'll see SWP here and will be disappointed if Milner leaves.
2. Be good if Roma, Juve and Milan could make it a 4-way battle for the title but I think Inter should still prove to have too much strength in depth. Milan might be helped by not being in the CL. Hope Udinese do well - my favoured Italian teams.
3. Milner is just a white SWP with less pace and more versatility really.
4. He's said he doesn't want to go back to Citeh because of the regime, we can offer more wages than Everton, and KK was the man who made him. All this talk of clubs being in Europe is a red herring when it comes to the likes of Everton. They can provide a guaranteed 1 year out of a 5 year contract in Europe. Not all that enticing really. Not seen that about him not going back to City and I'm sure Everton will be able to match what we'll offer him wages wise, both of which I would imagine would be lower than what he is on at Chelsea.
5. Can someone remind me why SWP would necessarily want to move to us over Everton or Man City? Both can offer first team european football (if city beat that poor Danish team), same wages/perks i'd imagine, higher finishes last season in the Prem.
6. FWIW all players get tapped up. Surely Gutierrez was tapped us by us, why else would he have bought out his contract. Its swings and roundabouts.
7. Re first sentance. What a load of rubbish! OK, so he could have put a request in sooner. Maybe something has happened to tip the balance in the favour of moving in the last week. Would you rather he drops hints in the papers that he wants awy whilst sitting on a loyalty bonus from us? Its refreshing to see players slap in a transfer request when they want to leave. Barry could learn a lot here Has Milner not stated that he has been unhappy for ages, hence the link with Villa for the past four or five transfer windows? I could be imagining it, but I could have sworn that he has been "on his way out" for a couple of years now. In any case, I agree that it is refreshing to see players hand in transfer requests but, once again, the power has been displaced from the club and onto the player. He is under contract and should Villa (or whichever club is apparently interested) decide not to pick him up, I wish him all the luck in the world trying to perfect his skills in the reserves. I'm so gald Jonas saw out his contract Point missed. If Jonas announced that he intended to leave a few minutes after proclaiming that he was happy to stay, I would have no problems with the fans of his old club being annoyed. Just because we have taken advantage of another player getting out of his contract does not mean that we have to be happy when one of ours does it, especially if Milner has been unsettled by O'Neil. So in an interview just after a game which we won Milner is asked about the speculation (direct question). 'Actually I'm off to speak to the gaffa tomorrow to slap in this transfer request' Would you be happy? Ever since Milner returned from his loan he has been nothing but professional in the way he has applied himself on the pitch and in the press. If he wants to leave good luck to the guy, I personally have no problem in him deciding he wants to leave. If he stays for whatever reason you can guarantee that he will continue to give 100% on th epitch, thats all you can ask for really Well said Haircut.
8. I'll be sad to see him to go to be honest, unlike others he always puts in a full shift, happy or not, and after the way he's been fucked around by the club in the past I don't blame him for wanting off. Some of the stick he's getting here is beyond a joke tbh and we want shooting if we do sell him and don't replace him as our squad was too small to begin with, selling a first teamer does not help that in the slightest.
9. Be interesting to see, if he hasn't left, whether he starts against Arsenal.
10. Disappointing even more so considering his good start to the season.
11. Got to love the blame culture on this board.
12. be very disappointed if there is any substance in these Dawson and Malouda links. Both proved to be poor at best in the Premiership and LW is the last place we need to strengthen.

He's 46 according to skysports. Should be 69 though.

Fair enough not risking Owen tbh, be interesting to see who is going to stay upfront though as if its Jonas upfront he is inclined to work back which we don't need tonight.
15. Queen of the South winning 1-0 HT in the Waffa Cup. Live on BBC online or BBC2 Jocksville.

Hopefully get through with out the need for extra time and no fresh injuries.
17. Arsenal: need to replace Flamini and Gilberto with some experienced players, stop playing Eboue. As with last season they've a good starting XI but lack strength and depth Aston Villa: Improved well on last season. If they keep Barry/replace with some1 similar they have quality throughout their team. A good run in Europe could hamper them though as their squad isn't the biggest although is a lot stronger than last season. Blackburn: Done well to sign up Santa Cruz, will miss Bentley especially giving as they haven't replaced him as such yet. Lower than last season. Bolton: Hard graft will only get you so far and Bolton have no creative players in the slightest to change a game. Had two attacking full backs playing on the wings versus us says it all really. Depending on how well the new teams do could be drawn into another struggle. Chelsea: Stronger than last season apart from upfront, will battle for the title. Have that knack of winning when playing shit n all. Everton: Need to strengthen badly, their transfer policy so far has been comical. Still got a very strong starting XI. Fulham: Will be better than last season, have a lot of players that will create chances. Away form will be their killer heel once more. Expect to float outside the relegation zone Hull: Strengthened sensibly but still lack a proven goalscorer at this level. At least they're making a fist of it though thus far. Relegated. Liverpool: New signings, Keane aside, are no better than what they have. Rafa needs to pick a formation and stick with it. Still need a top drawer winger too to take the creative emphasis off Gerrard. Man City: Strengthened well and look very solid once more. If Jo fires & Elano plays for a full season they could be in for a good season. Man Utd: Still the best team going forward in the league but they are missing Ronaldo. Probably need another striker too but everyone said that last season. Will be between them and Chelsea for the title Middlesbrough: Solid but average, same old Boro. Portsmouth: Will James be as good as last season, probably not which will probably hamper them. Defoe and Crouch have the makings of a decent partnership but Krancjar aside their midfield is poor and they sold their best one, Muntari. Top 10. Stoke: As with Hull. Sunderland: New Boro with more volatile players. Keane has bought well to be fair to him. Tottenham: Bought good players in positions where they didn't necessarily need strengthening (keeper aside). Need to buy a CB,DM, new Berbatov to reach expectations at least. Will be equally as entertaining for the neutral as they were last season it lookslike. West Brom: Going down, defence was poor last season and doesn't seem much better this. Poorer mans Fulham they appear to be in the way they play. West Ham: Could struggle badly if they continue to sell and rely on injured on players however if they do get Dyer, Bellamy, Ashton playing as they can do regualrly will be midtable comfortably. Wigan: Same as the end of last season. Well organised and enough quality to stay stafe.

Andy Gray

Pompous twat and a poor mans Brian Moore.
19. Brilliant news about Michael Owen. Hopefully get some minutes under his belt and grab a goal and not get injured. Could be a decent shout on a last goal bet.
20. Interesting to see where Robinho plays for Chelsea Lampard - Essien - Deco Robinho Cole Drogba perhaps?
21. Looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully we'll kick on from last week. Reckon an early goal will be needed otherwise it could be a long afternoon.
