Envy of the Premier League and that's just speaking to away fans who love how its so central and can been seen from anywhere. You could never get lost on the way to the match and when you fall out of the ground you are 5 minutes away from the motorways, central or a host of bars and things to do. I fucking love SJP. Love it.

Won't go to Spurs. If he doesn't accept our contract he isn't going accept a similar/lower one from THFC

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]
Disco replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Fits the bill quite nicely - young, available, probably not too pricey, plays on both wings. We could do a hell of a lot worse. Will be pricey as fuck. Don't think we need him personally. Already have Jonas and Zog for the left wing. -
That wouldn't be "adventurous", "attacking" Harrys 4-5-1 away from home is it?
-
Strange one. Not massively knowledgable on lower league stuff but Hartlepool being anywhere but the bottom division is them punching above their weight

"No matter; Dave Whelan, the Wigan Athletic chairman, remains a staunch Owen fan as does the club's manager, Steve Bruce. Even better, he could be re-united with his favourite England partner Emile Heskey. But could Michael Owen — whose wife, Louise, was spotted in tears on the day he joined Newcastle — ever bring himself to sign for Wigan?" WTF?

I may be wrong but don't they have association with Northumberland through the Hotspur family or something like that? Its in Nortumberland Park i think

The fine and proud name of Northumberland will be forever soiled.

About fucking time!

I've been in Germany for the weekend and saw Werder v Wolfsburg. Having seen the highlights of the Hoffenheim game last night they looked okay, although Schalke did have 2 men sent off. The first was quite funny as the guy went properly mental with the ref and almost decked him. Bayern were a bit unlucky to conceed in the 4th minute of injury time, especially as Jens Lehman went up for the corner and decked the keeper twice in the build up. The reaction to their team seemed to be a bit like the one Gretna had which at the moment is the fairytale story, but i imagine that may turn if they become a regular fixture. There is already apparently some antogonism about playing in someone elses stadium. having theres built at the moment though so its not like they've just said fuck it we'll just rent someones and save money building.

Except Hoffenheim is a tiny one-horse town and we've got the largest pool of unshared support in England. Honestly, is this true? Scumderland is only 12 miles away, so theoretically it should be split 2 ways at least, and apparently (according to taxi driver today...) Pompey has a population of 600k. Their crowd (and stadium) are disgraceful if true (NB haven't fact checked this) There is no way Pompey has a population of 600,000. Plus Pompey is right next to So'ton and nearish Brighton and to a lesser extent London

They play Spartak Moscow in the Waffa on Thursday and have not yet guaranteed qualification for the next round, so King might well play in that one. Is it daaaaaaaaan the Lane or in Moscow?

He's alright taking people on and getting forward he just doesn't seem to have a clue what to do when he's in a dangerous position. If you could teach him how to cross I honestly think he'd be one of the best rb's in the league if the not the best. He's a very good player but is no Bosingwa

I hope you've got your tin hat on. Its kind of sad that he actually needs one. I agree with him, one of the most ironic things I've seen in recent years is the same people who protested to get Ashley out saying how class they think Jonas and Coloccini are. Add Guthrie and Bassong to the list and the ironyometer might explode. Eh? You're saying this, but who knows who we might have been able to get in if the manager had his way. Also the squad is still terribly weak in areas that the manager said needed improving the most. But don't let that get in the way though as in three transfer windows we've signed a couple of canny players though. You've got a point, but nobody ever signs a whole new first team in one go. How many players would have been realistic to bring in, 8, 9, 10? I just think the club did a good job with transfers. I really don't think the squad is that weak, although you're right we need a couple of bodies in. Squad is weak as fuck. No cover at FB. A poor CM and the back ups for Zog and Jonas (Duff and Geremi) are well past their best.

youth team keeper we signed on an emergency loan IIRC.
-
Decent player but he was up against a shit midfield today. In the long term we've got to be looking to having him as a sub at best though IMO.
-
I must have missed Duff playing out of his skin. Maybe when he was out of it, he left his hamstrings behind. Kinnear needs to lay off the acid if he thinks Duff was playing out of his skin.
-
Good result, solid performance. Lets follow it up in the next couple of games so we can stop looking at the bottom of the table
-
better get him off and get the Duke on then
-
GET INNNNNN you little bastard,

They are a Mexican cement company! Was just wondering where i could buy some hispanic cement so good job they advertised.
-
How many players do you think it is reasonable to expect in a transfer window? Think we'll get 1
-
Now we know why Commoli was in charge of transfers at Spurs and not Ramos
-
Nah, he's had his time and although a good player when fit at the moment, especially given our lack of money the last place I'd spend £5m would be a striker. If we only buy 1 player it has to be a central midfielder without a doubt.

N-O Football Match - Red v Blue @ 10:30 on 18/05/19 @ Dunston Powerleague

Should revert to school tactics... Pick 2"cappa's" when you get their. Then pick teams at random First pick being decided by the which hand is it game. Simple as.
