This doesnt surprise me at all, the guy is a low-life, hope someone he pisses off ends up battering him.
-
Would be a very bad sale imo, hes got a great future, just needs to work on his final ball, he does have it as we have seen just needs more consistency. Is one of the few players playing with any drive this season, dunno if thats because hes trying to prove people wrong but fair play to him.
-
This sounds about right. If Belgravia or whoever is to invest then a dof would be a must anyway.
-
I never understood why some people looked upon the possibility of him being our manager as just another average appointment. Hes a different class.
-
Just confirmed what we already knew, the roots have to be ripped out now. Half way through a season is not ideal but it has to be done.

Krul Taylor Ramage Moore Babayaro Parker Emre Duff Milner Luque Rossi
-
I think we could play with an adapted 4-3-3, Luque playing out on his left forward position, Rossi as the striker and Milner doing what he does normally on the right but being encouraged to support Rossi also. Still room for Parker and Emre in the middle and Zog or Duff overlapping Luque on the left. Worth a try considering how many goals we are not scoring.
-
I'd be interested to know exactly where he played with Deportivo, did they have a main out and out striker in Tristan and Luque played off him on the left side? Maybe Glen should watch some old Depor videos and think about trying that style in attack. Might be the only way to get the best out of him.
-
Luque didnt play that well, but lets be honest he will never play well as a lone striker. If this gives him a bit of confidence then great but Roeder should try and set-up the team to play to his strengths if hes going to get a run in the team. Milners cross was pure quality. Hope he stays. Credit to Taylor and Ramage for playing very well out of position. Krul was quality, hope Shay takes him under his wing and shares his jedi powers with him.
-
Well in whoever put the money on. Good on Luque, not even played in a position that remotely suits him yet he scored. Nice one.
-
Sol Campbell would have improved our defence 500%, his presence alone would be enough to make sure people perform.
-
Good point, shame Roeder doesnt think like that..
-
Strachan said its mostly bullshit and theres no way he would ever go to Celtic, he will go to an American team i imagine.
-
I agree entirely with that.
-
I agree about Mark Wilson, he seems to be a complete RB, very solid at the back, links up extremely well going forward. Im not being biased here but i think with Newcastle being so close to Scotland we should have more scouts or better scouts watching the players? I know the Caldwells were identified a long time ago but since then theres not really been anyone of note. Theres a lot of good young players coming through at the moment especially at Hibs/Hearts and they are all going quite cheap. Arsenal have been watching Naismith, that Galbraith lad from hearts was snapped up by Man Utd, apparently chelsea and Spurs are after Shaun Maloney. Scott Brown/Thomson or Fletcher from hibs are all going to be excellent players.
-
Yeah ive seen him play a few times, hes quite good but has a long way to go. Looked way out of his depth when he was thrown in against AEK athens and sparta prague i think it was. Quite strong though, could be good in the future.
-
Sounds like a ploy because they have only just realised that the fans know how incompetent the chairman really is and as people say, buy some time.
-
force him to work for us at the point of gun? Who knows if that was the case? Who knows if he was approached in a manner that would have given him enough confidence to take on the job. All i know is that hes not the manager and the person i would blame for that is Shepherd until i know otherwise. you really think after Soumess there was anything that FF could have said to have persuaded MON? Note that not a single person on here ever believes anything coming out of his fat gob, but you expect top managers to do so.... Thats all very true dont get me wrong, but again it all boils down to the fact that if FF hadnt made all these stupid decisions we could have had M'ON here, judging by M'ONs character he would have loved this challenge but of course FF was there to complicate the situation..

Agree entirely with that, the non-appointment of M'ON for me has put the last nail in the coffin for Shepherd. No blame goes to Roeder, he is doing what anyone would in his position, trying his best which unfortunately is not good enough, but we all knew that before he took over, how come the chairman didnt?
