    Primera Liga

Deary me, what a team Barca are. Messi is fantastic.
  2. You seen him play much then? Yeah quite a lot. More of a holding up type striker, got a bit of strength but an average finisher. Would add a bit of strength and power to the front line though.
  3. He would be better than sibi as back-up. Has found it difficult to adjust to the Russian lifestyle. If he was cheap then he could be an ok squad player.
  4. Would those teams come though? If Dundee can get Barca why not us?: - "reigning UEFA Champions League winners FC Barcelona will play Dundee United at Tannadice on 26 July" http://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/index.asp?tm=2&nid=2587&cd=2007 Barcelona are also playing Danish team AGF Aarhus before doing a tour of the US http://en.lionelmessi.org/index.php?itemid=199 Strange how we can never get Real Madrid to come here considering we are supposed to have a good relationship with them. Still, all the massive clubs can make more money going to the far east and the US. Because Dundee UTD have a special relationship with Barca having beaten them twice in 60s the 80s when they won the cup winners cup. Only team to ever do this to Barca.
  5. Was at the game, quality stuff, Espanyol fans were amazing! Sung their hearts out the whole game and even though it was about 2/3 Sevilla, 1/3 Espanyol they put them to shame. Weather was shite but to be expected Felt really sorry for the soaked espanyol fans we had to show back to george square.
  6. I think this situation is a pretty obvious decision for Sam. Why would he want to keep players here that are not going to put their heart and soul into it? If hes wanting to be elsewhere then thats his performance already dropped for the forthcoming season. A player like that you need to be 100% up for it, if not then he should go and we should get in a more willing replacement.

    Martin O'Neill

Honest question, can you see him now releasing the full potential your club has with the new owners? Yes. The thing to remember is that MON is just one side of the things that have changed. Since Ellis went, they have gone about picking the club up, giving it a good shake, and changing pretty much the whole thing from top to bottom. Absolutely everything has either changed, or is in the process of changing. Outside the managers at the big four, I can't think of a better man for the manager's job than MON. He's not infallible, he's dropped a few bollocks this season, but the man has got things right by and large. His signings will settle next season, Petrov is looking much better of late, Young looks like a quality prospect, Maloney is a good prospect too. If he can buy sensibly, a bit of experience in the positions we need strengthening over the summer, then we'll do well next year. I don't necessarily want him to go out and spunk 50m on huge names, I want him to strengthen the squad with some very good players - so that we can evolve slowly, improve consistently whilst the club is changing. We had the EC winning team with the cup on the pitch before Sheff United the other day, and I can honestly say it was the most positive day I've had there in decades, seeing the achievements from the past and what we can aspire to, but also thinking forwards ... the optimism at the moment is absolutely incredible. M'ON will do you proud. I'm convinced as early as next season you will start seeing the benefits of having him in charge. I think Villa were a bit rotten when he took over, similar although not quite as bad as the job Allardryce will have here. I will easily put a couple of quid on them finishing top6 next season.

    espanyol - sevilla

Is anyone selling their allocation of Hampden tickets for this, ive tried to put mine up on Ebay twice but twice been removed, anyone else selling theirs and where are they selling them?
  10. Shouldnt let Mr Burns anywhere near Newcastle. Hes a filthy bastard.
  11. Sounds prefect...almost too perfect...independent must be making it up. Nolan and Ben Haim though Campbell if he wants to come aswell would be great, just the sort of player for Taylor to look to for guidance. It's about time Dyer fucked off to London with all his bling bling mates anyway. If Sam sorts all that out and gets in 2 quality fullbacks then things are already looking pretty sweet.
  12. The only ones id 100% keep are Shay, Solano, Taylor, Milner and Martins. I'd get rid of Bramble, Gooch, Carr, Pattison, Moore, Luque and the rest would have half a season to prove they are worthy of a place.
  13. We have 0 players suited to a long ball game.
  14. They are right. I mean how many failed appointments is it going to take for him to leave? If he was such a loyal fan as he makes out to be then he should act in the best interests of the club and that would clearly be for him to fuck off.
  15. Yeah i think that too. Tried his best and who wouldnt have taken the opportunity given to him by the idiot in charge.
  16. The fat man should fuck off with him.
  17. Imo possibly the most important thing to either a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 working would be quality fullbacks. If were playing out and out wingers then they need to know they have quality behind them and someone who will give them options when overlapping. In a 4-3-3 the flanks would be the full-backs entire responsability just about. I dont know if Nobby is good enough, he does play well but there are question marks over his defending especially in the box. A good solid central defence would help that though. Being able to switch between these formations would be great, we almost have the players to do it too. A proper playmaker and Sidwell and we could play either formation easily. If i was Roeder i would sort out our defence first and foremost. A top quality left back and central defender being a must. Get Sidwell on a free for depth and also a quality playmaker, Tevez would be amazing but unlikely to sign. I doubt Roeder will manage to do half of that though tbh.

    Bramble

Any need for another thread about him? Utterly shite and if Roeder gives him a new contract then it should be an instantly sackable offence.
  19. Dyer out then Barnes in would be good. Dyer is good but he's far too comfortable and needs a boot up the arse. May aswell just get rid while we can get some cash for him.
  20. We played really well, Taylor, Emre and Sibi were very good for me. Sibi purely for making sure Terry was not an attacking threat. Milner also was excellent. Dyer i thought could of been better.
  21. It didnt sound right at all. If Gabby was the commentator however i think it would of been fine.

    Messi...

What a goal. Messi has really stepped up this season just like Ronaldo really. I'd rather have Messi but i think Ronaldo is probably still the best player in the world right now.
