  1. Stop being a moody cretin and lying/making things up/over exagerating things again wullie i haven't ever said that Ameobi is more prolific (and certainly not profilic whatever that is) havei ? Please point out to me where i have ever said he's more prolific (or profilic) ? You said that Shola would have created and scored more than Viduka in the opening few fixtures. Well done, you spotted a typo, have a banana. You've made about a half a dozen in that section I've quoted above. I won't point them out though.
  2. I just love him man, I like his honesty, but in particular his interviews fill me with joy.
  3. I wondered why me sister texted me saying she'd just saw Martins bag packing, I thought she was just commenting on a generic Asda bag packer who looked like Oba. He's our most dangerous front man I feel, there's no doubt about it, look at his goals assists etc this season when he hasn't had a lot of playing time, being played out of position etc With Owen you have to build the team around him, whereas Oba creates a lot of his own chances by way of his physical prowess, Oba for king.
  4. Christ I was shitting it that game as I was in their end, something I'd never do again that's for certain.

  7. Are you the Boro physio like? do you know what condition he is in?
  8. How can Tuncay not get in that team ffs?
  9. It's not allowed at the minute but I'm sure a new rule could be pushed through as every employer has a duty of care to all of it's employee's. If we have the technology then it should be used if it can save lives, it would also keep the game going as that article also mentions what happens if somembody isn't doing enough work, they get a good bollocking. Just as well for that Billy Whitehurst that it wasn't around in his time. Lazy fucker. Bet you wouldn't say that to his face.
  10. nah, certain things are just written in advance and perserverance changes nothing tommasson was the same...had potential but the pace/passion/strength/heart or whatever you want to call it weren't there, thus the right move for NUFC was to ship him, regardless of the fact he went on to do very well elsewhere certain things are good for the club and certain things are good for the individual...this summer the luque and dyer deals have satisfied both of those.... I'd say for John Dahl was the fact he was completely played out of position in his only season in a new country and a lot tougher league. I think if Shearer had never got injured and Asprilla never got injured/sold, we would have seen John Dahl slowly brought in, given time to adjust to the league. But he ended up leading the line on his own, in a role that was just something he was never suited to do, as he has always been more of a 2nd striker. I'd say that miss against Sheff Wed on his league debut about summed everything up for him, from that moment on his confidence looked shot. aye that's what i'm saying...if you remember at the time we were just hoping after hope he was gonna come good, that he'd get used to the pace and stop needing the extra time on the ball but it never happened you're right in that things might have been different if jon dahl had been brought through bit by bit but basically he wasn't and he was found wanting - for me there was never any going back....bigger clubs than us can afford that time/money but we've never really been able to do that have we? luque had enough time to adapt to the physical side, much more than JDT did and he's older, and the point i'm making is that save for a few deluded souls who thought allardyce was gonna turn him into a genius the majority of us knew that it was either leave or sit out his contract never playing best deal all round I agree in that completely.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me like, they've got a bad reputation and rightly so. Of course it was all coincidence it kicked off in most places where they traveled in Europe.
  12. I've heard nothing but good things btw about Viduka's attitude from his time at Boro. Always working hard in training and great at helping the young lads along, always willing to lend a hand with them, trying to bring them into the fold when some of them were perhaps a bit daunted, making them feel at home, will to offer advice, stay behind and work on things with them. blueyes.gif

  14. With the way Oba's game is actually setup I can't really recally many times when we've seen him actually run at his fastest, completely leaving the last man for dead. Which is quite a shame really, as with his pace if only he was a more direct runner and played on the shoulder of the last man. Remember mind against Everton last season when it was only about a 10 yard chase for the ball and the Everton player had about a 5 yard head start and he just skipped past him and got the ball. I was like fuck me.
  15. We should get those goals they had in USA '94 when Diana Ross took that penalty.
  16. Not sure what's happened to the lad, on Owen's debut when they came up here he looked a class act.

    Strongest 11?

Parky there's not a chance we are solid enough at the back to even contemplate playing Catenaccio. Can you imagine the fans reaction as well? Oh well let's employ tactics that haven't been popular for 40 years. :parky:

    Already surplus to requirements.
  19. Saying that like, compared to today's modern facilities, that training ground at Durham was a shit hole.
  20. Had some great memories of a kid going to the training under KK like, found all of the photos of me as a bairn with some of the lads. Was absolutely class.
  21. I reckon Mick's Mrs has been getting that honeymoon sex like over the past month or so.
