So players actually make an effort, try and we play well = the opposition was crap. We play like shit and players look disinterested = we are shit. Do people purposely ignore positive changes that occur in front of their eyes, or are they simply too stubborn and hold onto their preconceived notion of how a bunch of players supposedly are? I just hope you're wrong. I saw a LOT to take away from today, a ton of positives, and, most impressive for me, was to see commitment, heart and actual care from our players. I, for one, was convinced none of them gave a crap. They proved me wrong today. Yes, Fulham were awful, but the players can only play what's put in front of them. Credit where it's due.

Thank you. Absolutely spot on. Love this fucking guy.

In his Beeb interview, did he say "all our players want to leave for a big club...?" I need to watch it again, but that's an astonishing thing to say when asked about the Cabaye situation. It's official now, we're not a big club.
-
you're not alone, he was poor Aaaand the strange phenomenon of two people looking at the same thing and having two entirely different opinions rears its head once again. As is with football fans though, it's usually 1 or 2 against a plethora of people who think otherwise. Sissoko and Anita were the reason we constantly kept the ball, and Sissoko's forward runs and confidence gave us something extra. Had a great game, as did Anita.

This. Without these 3 we'd be a championship side. No reason to like anyone else at the minute, regardless of how nice they may be off the pitch.
-
We're in serious trouble if we don't sign anyone else this window. Fuck.
-
Wow. Those quotes sound like the ramblings of an incoherent madman who has completely lost the plot. It's when you stare at something long enough that you can't tell if it's good or not anymore, or why you're even staring at it in the first place.

So I guess Cardiff are now ahead of us in the race to stay up? "We can't really compete with the wide eyed optimism of the newly promoted sides, of course, Premiership jades you," Pards. "On paper we are the better side, but we must watch out for their excitement of competing at the top level."
-
If he's refusing to play, he needs to be sent to train with the reserved and we should stop paying him. Such behavior is unheard of, or usually reserved for the Carlos Tevezes of the world. If the club is lying about this though, then it wouldn't surprise me a bit and I would welcome him back into the side.
-
Oh, and Anita and Sissoko... a class above. Can really become the engine and heart of our team if they continue like this.
-
I strongly think the following two actions can result in a goal for us: 1) Shola off for Gouffran 2) A few of the players having a word with HBA to look around him for a pass instead of shots from 40 yards out.
-
Shola ruining every single move forward! Fuck's sake.
-
What the hell had Gouffran done to be dropped?

If a person is unable to grasp such a basic concept of running a successful football club, that person shouldn't be owning one. Get the fuck out, you amateur.

The Official Alan Pardew Excuses Thread

Wow. Wow. How does one exactly work harder than one should have? Insane. -
Am enjoying this TT, please continue

I told my mate this today: we need only the players who can find the resolve the Championship side did, the Nolans, the Bartons, etc., people who actually want to play for us and care about us. And care about their own performance. We currently have nobody aside from Krul, Hatem and Colo.
-
tbh I wouldn't blame him much for the 2nd goal, just a stupidly good finish by Aguero A bit more pressure to direct him towards the byline as Colo was moving in behind Tayls would have helped. He didn't even attempt!

Since we've not seen any money spent in JFK's time here, and we showed a lot more ambition when Llambezy was around, I'll have to concur with some of the views posted above in regards to this.
-
Slowly leaning towards the Carr policy being too much, too soon. In all honesty though, what the fuck is Pardew there for then? He could've stepped in any time and recruited players with PL experience.

Anyone seriously worried about relegation? We almost got relegated last season, let go of some squad cover, added ZERO players, except for Remy on loan. I don't see how this season can magically improve with the team we currently have. Or the manager and set up we currently have. Fuck's sake. Just when you thought MA couldn't get any worse, we get this transfer window.
