  1. Worked his socks off, for once went flying into challenges, won the ball numerous times, brought down long balls and laid them off well, and created his own chances. Two terrible decisions but aside from that, he had a decent game.
  2. If Yup. Point still stands, he'd be very good in this league imo. This De Jong obsession is one I'll never understand. At least with the Mitro fanboys there is some modicum of talent and effort there that can lead to a fanclub, but De Jong has shown absolutely f*** all for us even when he's played. And missed absolute sitters. Has looked slow, laboured and frustrated. I have no idea what people ever saw in him, and I'm not even talking about his horrendous injury record. Mitro n De Jong were possibly the 2 biggest culprits in our relegation. Still think if the amazing de Jong had put that chance away into an empty net from 4yds vs Villa we'd have stayed up. fuckin stop it, man! every time i manage to forget that header, someone brings it up again. remember leaving the ground that day thinking that was the mistake that meant relegation. we never really recovered from it. Yep. That header and the myriad of Mitro misses are like a PG-13 version of Schindler's List for me. Apologies for the hyperbole.
  3. Shame he has the body of a chocolate santa though.

  5. This caulkin likes to know everything mind. Rafa must have been given the thumbs up on Townsend, these deals at this time arent easy so i say bullshit from so called ITK Caulkin. Reducing one of the best sports journos in the country to a two-bit plonker living in his mom's basement, posting #fakenews on Twitter.

The man's a loon. He had the worst predictions for us, for over a decade.
  7. Forgot about that. There really is something wrong with Pardew man. I've blocked out these traumatic moments as well, stop reminding us.
  8. The Big C Advertiser never lies, bruv.

I wonder how a player with 11 years more experience and playing regularly in this division for most of his career, could be better than Mitro like. It's amazing how we're only to judge Mitro on the league he's used to (Belgian?), it seems no division is easy for him. He's forever 'bedding in.' We could get relegated to League Two and there will be Mitro fans saying "ah but he's new to this division, he's young, give him time!" I say that partly in jest, but I also worry that Mitro hasn't impressed Rafa as much as he probably should have. To be fair, Mitrovic was good V QPR and PNE when he started and scared the life out of Norwich when he came on and we were chasing. I'm not against the lad, and want him to succeed. I just don't know what's gone on between Rafa and him, or why he's not rated or given a proper run.

  11. Performing well like. They've responded superb this season to the play off loss. Would be happy for us and Brighton to both go up. I like Hughton. Top bloke. He's got my respect. I'm really happy he's carved out a decent managerial career after being second fiddle to absolute tossers here, and being thrown into management by Ashley. And a fantastic, nice guy to boot.
  12. It really is ridiculous how they simply don't seem to lose. They're on a run of their lives, 1 defeat in 19/20 or whatever. Fuck's sake. So frustrating.
  13. After tonight, are Brighton caught up on their games played? Hate having them with a game in hand.
  14. Slightly concerning if the hold-up is on our end, with Ashley not loosening the grip. Of course, I could just be totally paranoid.

Was probably just taking a breather.
  16. You do know that these kids aren't professional ball boys don't you? They are kids from local grassroots football teams on the whole. They turn up an hour before kick off and get to borrow some "uniform", get a brief talk about what to do - which includes being told not to climb over the holdings or enter the field of play. My son did it recently with his team. They all had a great experience which surely is what it is all about.... It's lovely that we give local youngsters the opportunity to do it, but that detracts nothing from my original point. The problem is clearly the instructions (or lack of) that they are given. I'm not asking them to climb over hoardings or enter the field of play, I'm just asking them to retrieve the ball at some sort of pace and get it put back in the pitch as soon as possible. Like I said in my original post, the longer it takes to return the ball - the better for the opposition who have come to frustrate and slow the game down. Yes, I get your point but, the kids don't really get told anything. My lad loved it but, he said some of the kids in his team were really nervous about it, understandable when they are at the front of a full house at St James'. Funnily enough they also got to be ball boys at Gateshead this season as well, that was a whole different experience with the players shouting at them all the time, swearing to hurry them up. The ball can disappear for 100yards behind the goals in that stadium... Unless they are brought in hours before kick off and given a tutorial and then some practice then the same situation will always exist with poorly prepared young kids dropped in at the deep end. Well the answer has pretty much written itself. You start paying them and get one of SportsDirect lawyers to skirt the anti-child-labour laws. We need to incentivize these kids and not take away their right to earn.
  17. He has one more thing to do this season. When the transfer window "slams shut" and Moyes walks because he sees the futility in the battle ahead, one man will come striding out the mist. Super Al, nay The King, with unwavering belief and cocksuredness knows he's the man to save them and prove those pesky Geordies wrong and Sunderland desperate for another boom-bust injection see just the man. What follows is a run of form to rival Derby in THAT ill-fated season and after 5...10 even, years of unbalance the universe is finally put to rights, with two of football's pariahs descending into the bowels of non-league pergatory in unholy matrimony. It would amazing if this happened. Imagine the trillion threads on RTG all saying how wrong we were about Pardew and how unfairly we treated him.
  18. And people are wondering why we're worried. We sold so many fucking players in the summer, made a massive profit, and Ashley is still being a tight-fisted, miserly cunt.
  19. Two. He looked at Gouffran a certain way which made the Gouff go down in the area. 3 assists.
