I just did the whole 'Look Inside' thing on Amazon and I can't stop reading and laughing. Brilliant. Going to be ordering this, as long as the GBP doesn't rape my Canadian dollars in exchange / local pricing.
  2. Aye ........still think if a London club comes in for him he'll be off.
  3. It was actually 35m for Sissoko, Faye, Best AND Andy Griffin. Mental.
  4. Honestly, is this the fate of every football fan? Me in 2045: "The last decent left back we signed was Pistone followed by Didier Domi!"
  5. While my first choice in this formation would Be Gayle, I wonder if your point about discrupting the team could also be applied to dropping a striker who has scored 4 gols in the last two games? Surely, unless there are concerns over his fitness, Mitrovic has earned the right to start tyhe next game? Your argument makes sense, I was more directing my confusion towards those who've questioned the wisdom of the Spaniard. Whatever he's doing, it seems to be working well at the moment, and for once I'm happy to put my trust in our manager. It feels weird even for me, I know.
  6. Surprising that many are questioning and countering the decision of the only good manager we have had since SBR, whose decision making has us finally functioning both like a real team and a real club. And has us sitting at the top of the table with the striker people want to see dropped being the league's top scorer. Is all this love for Mitro really worth, as Thomas asked, disrupting all we have achieved this year? For what, because he's a more likeable lad than Gayle? And this whole "well he's only scored so many because Mitro hasn't been given the same amount of games" is confusing and tedious. Keep it simple, like all other teams do: as soon as Gayle hits a bad patch of form, we will have a very capable and hungry replacement who will come in and aim to make that spot his own, until he himself gets sent off or hits bad form, ad infinitum.

As I don't think I cared much about these lot all those years we were in a different stratosphere compared to them, can someone enlighten me (and them) if our fans acted in such a retarded way they've been going on since Pardew gave them an upper hand in the derbies?
  8. Love the bloke. He's got a long way to go and seems to enjoy practically assaulting his team mates in celebrations but his attitude is spot on. He's not technically the greatest player in the world but I can envisage him scoring plenty with the right service. Love the line about Dwight seems to have a good rapport with the players/staff at the club and of course loves the fans. He's a loveable character and I hope he forges a long, successful career here, he's definitely someone who 'gets' the club and the fans. I just wish he was technically a better player, but as long as we can play to his strengths, he should be able to contribute.
  9. I was being purposely facetious with that one, the alliteration was too good to pass up. No offence, Optimistic Nut. I like you as a poster.
  10. The hindsight hooligans are out in force in this thread.
  11. Thing is, I don't take this "over the top vitriol" he mentions seriously. All the "Misstrovic" and "Jack Dracula Colback" posts are to be taken in jest, not at face value as if the person has a fucking poster of Colback or Mitro in their home they use as a dart board. People need to fucking calm down and put down the pitchforks. Do we have to suffer through this all over again if / when Colback turns into a worldbeater?
  12. Are you being wilfully thick? Yes, the Ronaldo school of jumping to personal insults immediately when someone makes an opposing comment. You've just lost all credibility. Because you're talking absolute shite and had completely ignored everything I'd said. I cannot be arsed. Neither can I. Carry on.

  14. So basically... anyone who criticizes a player for being crap for a particularly crap period has no right to then say comment on change, if it occurs? I think you need to take a step back and realize most of us here support NUFC and want the club to do well, regardless of sometimes over-the-top, feelings-runneth-over comments directed at some players who haven't performed as well as they could or should have, for a variety of reasons.

This man is incredible. Great read, as always.
  16. Gooner mate is on a wind up. "Rafa for England is happening, 12m a year."
  17. It was such a weird challenge, more like a slap than an elbow. Could've injured his eye or cut open his forehead, the latter looked to have happened. What a wanker of a player to do that to a fellow pro.

    Paul Dummett

Except for all those times he wasn't. He's a reliable, limited, albeit capable defender most of the time, but to say he was "absolutely fine" is propaganda of the silliest kind. Done well for Rafa and I hope he continues.
  19. Paul Gallagher. Is this the same fucking cunt who handballed a goal for Blackburn against us?
  20. Crumpy was slagging Rafa off after a couple of bad results so not sure I'd take his opinion too seriously mind. I don't think anyone's taken him seriously since the inception of N-O.

He's a right creep. A proper weirdo. Didn't realise Yanga Mbiwa got on there.
  22. Crumpy not holding back any punches, as usual
