This whole act in the betting thread is clearly a joke Nobody's this thick

Srna FGS £2.64 @ 24

Gerrard was so much better tonight than he's been all season for Liverpool. He lost the plot and started smashing ludicrous passes for a bit after we went 2-1 down but thankfully he calmed down again. Should have buried that volley for 4-2 mind.
-
Did I hear right that this is only the second England game Walcott's ever scored in? Mental if true. Best match of the tournament so far imo, fantastic excitement and a cracking performance to get us back into if after we tried our best to throw it away.
-
Worst game of the tournament so far. Boring as fuck.
-
Much as I dislike the bloke he did a very good job there. When was the last time Spurs had a better manager than him (in terms of the job they did there)? Jol was good but Harry took them to another level without spending beyond their means. Nobody else in my watching time who comes close off the top of my head. Easy to pick out ways in which he could have done better but I'll be extremely surprised if Spurs do as well again next season.
-
Very true, because there is no attacking player in France that will be a challenge on the level of Shola Ameobi Agreed
-
Played quite well, fuck knows how he wasn't booked though Great technique for the volley that got deflected wide.
-
Thought Johnson was our best player, very impressed. Ribery looked to change sides at one point, huge compliment.
-
I'm genuinely surprised by the extent to which football fans in this country are fair weather about their national team, never really noticed it before. It's been growing since the WC I guess.
-
£20 Germany, £5 France to win the tournament £3 Benzema, £2 Gomez top scorer. All on betfair.
-
I heard that too. Absolutely mint at t-tests apparently.
-
How long for? Also, were you going to wear a blob?
-
OK, OK, I guess I deserve this! I got them muddled in my head. As bad as Terry imo.
-
Bollocks is it. He's a grown man with freewill, he can do what the fuck he wants, same as you. He doesn't owe the national set up anything. If he wants to spend his summer with his family rather than training, then sitting on a bench during every game - what's the problem? He can order his priorities in life however he wants to. Under no obligation to buy into all this false camraderie shite. Equally, if England don't want to pick him because he turned down second-spot, that's their prerogative and their entitlement. Richards (to my knowledge) has not complained about Kelly going. I disagree but there we go. Smacks of a massive sense of entitlement and self-worth and where his team finished in the league isn't relevant to the merits of him being picked for England (although, for the record, I'd have had him in the squad). He can fuck off if he ever wants to play for England again, at least some of the players try to give the impression they give a shit. BTW the stats you've posted were after Johnson had only played 5 games this season.

Refusing to be on a backup list, or go if you're not first choice, is an utterly pathetic and childish attitude to have.

Got me Gabon shirt at last, get in. Cannot wait for this, gonna shit all over those South Korean cunts, up the Gab'.
-
Absolutely spot on in this part. Try telling a non-NUFC fan this and they'll laugh at you though, it's infuriating! He's not as bad as Keith Curle mind.
-
I agree absolutely on Carrick. Definitely not on Johnson - much as I think I rate him, he's started how many games this season? He doesn't even make the bench for City any more, couldn't justify picking him. Richards I'm not sure about. He lost his place due to injury and was kept out by Zabaleta's brilliant form but he's (apparently) a terrible trainer and noticeably poor at following instructions. He's great to watch as a fan but I can see why managers don't like him.
-
I agree, as I say I'd have had Sturridge in instead. But there aren't exactly any shocking omissions of players who look potentially brilliant. I'm trying to think of any exciting youngster who would have been good to take...and I can't think of one.
-
People go absolutely wild about England selection. Downing getting in the squad is ridiculous, of course, but even criticism of that is ott imo. I assume he'll barely touch the pitch, and certainly (at least I hope) won't make any real difference to how we do in this tournament. I'd have had Sturridge in for him but he's been very poor recently and was utterly wank in the first half when we played them. I feel sorry for Hodgson though, he's going to get beaten with some mental sticks (and no offence to those quoted, I don't necessarily disagree, just looking through this page) Doesn't make the bench for City, Asked to be ignored if he wasn't first choice, all the fans love him but relentlessly ignored by international managers and reputed to be an awful trainer. Played how many games this season? And the last was when? First one asked not to be considered and the second is awful. I'm not trying to say I know better than any of the people I've quoted (I almost certainly don't), just trying to point out that it's basically a tallest dwarf competition when talking about who should have been picked. We may well be dump in this tournament but that's no reflection on Roy, I just dread the shitstorm he's going to get not just from the media but also from your average idiot in the pub who thinks the only reason we haven't won the tournament is because we took the wrong 3rd choice left winger. I've articulated this very badly but a lot of things irritate me about the England team, mostly their "fans" (particularly those who stop becoming interested when they don't think they'll win the tournament) and the media.

I'm just surprised he didn't have goalie gloves on

Anyone else notice Terry was wearing his shinnies?
