  1. Only if they sign Duff. Jenas was there this year though so they can't be far off.
  2. That Simpsons gif is wild
  3. And if you get rid of it altogether hopefully it will stop (or at least limit) the huge clubs hoovering up all u16 talent in the country and provide a more level playing field. Easiest way to improve football in this country as far as I'm concerned.
  4. If Shola gets in I'm going on a three day bender. Imagine it, would be absolutely wild, don't care if it's not even a rumour. Straight faced would have him in over Crouchy mind, they're both wank but Shola's much funnier.
  5. Cisse FGS £3 at 8.2 HBA anytime £3 at 6.6 Newcastle £22 at 5 Will probably nip into laddies to put on a scorecast or two on my way to the pub. Fucking come on.
  6. They've become a significantly better team since he stopped playing regularly this season. He's not a good enough footballer for their team. He's sufficiently cuntish to serve an occasional purpose for them mind.
  7. what a fucking night. work is going to be rough this morning.
  8. Maybe, and you'll have to bear with me here as this is a big maybe, but maybe not every single detail of the trial is in the papers and the the decision was made based on an absolute fuckload more evidence than there is in this thread? Sorry, I know it's a long shot.
  9. I'm pretty sure that 'failure to control your players' refers to on any one occasion more than a certain number of players (I think it's 5) surrounding the referee so there's no way we shouldn't be charged - we were against Arsenal too iirc. Think the fine is usually something like £20k, or 2.5 days work for Alan Smith.
  10. Young FGS at 15/1 before kick off. Told the telly to fuck off when I thought he was coming off for Sturridge. Bit harsh really, need to apologise at some point.
  11. Luiz is abysmal. I wouldn't pay £2.5m for him, let alone 10x that.
  12. Fellow Millwall fan. Massive.
  13. Never been so tired at the end of an away game, the Demba song was going on for at least 15-20 minutes non-stop in the lower tier, incredible. My missus was in the Spurs end very close to us and apparently they were just watching us for the last ten minutes wondering what the fuck was going on Shit performance, everybody gets 1/10, put it down as a bad day at the office & make sure it doesn't happen again.
  14. You've got the big stadium already, we haven't started yet so we're raising money. When it's built prices will still remain high as the stadium loans have to be paid. Arsenal's tickets, generally speaking, are more expensive than ours. Speaking as an away fan they aren't. At least we haven't been cat A at Spurs since we got relegated. Seem to remember it cost £48 the year we went down - same as Chelsea, think I paid £32 for Arsenal that year.
  15. Couple of other pubs by Liverpool St given I work there - I wholeheartedly support the suggestion of the Magpie which is aptly named and a great boozer, the Water Poet is a 5 minute walk away and a very nice pub, the Lord Aberconway on Old Broad Street does fantastic value ale given its location (about 2.70 for a Pride last time I was there) and the Crosse Keys is about a 10 minute walk down Bishopsgate and is a spoons but it's huge, really nice (old converted banking hall) and generally has about 20-25 different ales on. Never been found there on a sat before but will be in one of those pubs (depending what's open at the weekend...) tomorrow.
  16. Monday night to Saturday evening is right on the limit of Ledley's recovery time ................ and that's assuming he didn't get a kick in the Liverpool game. That said, Kaboul and Dawson aren't bad and most of the absentees from last night are expected to be fit. A more important bearing on the game is both Tiote and Cabaye missing for you. 2-0 to Spurs is my guess. I agree that I think you'll win but if King is missing we have a strong enough strike force to cause any of your others huge problems and change the dynamic of the game. You didn't respond particularly well to going behind against Wolves and having to break down a well organised team, a point (or even three) is unlikely but not beyond the realms.
  17. Hard to say, as Ferdinand at his peak was astonishing too, probably the best I've seen in this league over a sustained period, and there's a very good case to say it's injuries that have caused his decline. King is a phenomenon though, great player. I'm not sure Woody's ever been as good as he was here since but another class player. There seems to be a theme here.
  18. In fairness to him (if that's the chance I'm remembering where he ended up slicing it wide from the right of the area?) Cisse was offside the whole time when they showed the replay on the telly.
  19. My main hope is that King might not be able to play. He's absolutely outstanding, their most important player by some margin imo and while Dawson and Kaboul have improved immeasurably it makes a huge difference to Spurs when Ledley isn't fit. He struggles with two games in a week generally and if he doesn't make it we'll have a much better, albeit still very small, chance of taking something. Realistically they're a fair bit stronger than us squad wise, would be class if we gave it a go and got somewhere though.
  20. Theft proof. seriously my mate had the 36" version and it weighed over 18 stone I still have one (32") and actually managed to store it on the top of my wardrobe, now i was removals man for 20 years and have lifted piano's and other assorted things that weigh far more than they should, but i swear my eyes, balls and ear drums nearly flew out of my body getting the fecker up there. Mrs Bimpy just stood there looking me, if i could i would have kicked her in the face. kicked her in the face, fucking hell, this is wild
  21. You must have enjoyed the three seperate times today when he near clattered one of his own players going for a simple header. It was class. Few people have perfected the art of merging football and comedy, Heskey is one of its finest exponents.
  22. Should we not have had a pen when Hutton kicked Cissé in the chest? Was surprised nobody mentioned it on the telly.
