I posed the exact team as Binnsy's on another forum the other day. Only difference is I don't think I picked another centre half as I couldn't separate the rest of the dross. Both only here for one season but Bassong and Faye would both have been ahead of Taylor for me. Other than that, the team's spot on.

I wonder if Shola's actually any good, I was at a wedding for the hat-trick game so didn't see the full performance (obv seen the goals) but he was as s**** as ever against West Brom, I was laughing at full time with the lad next to me about how he wasn't even good enough for this league. Obviously he's a god mind. he was really bad at west brom like, i'm sure it was he that booted harper in the head and harper went off. that said he did well after that until his injury but he could have had 5/6 in his hat trick game iirc It was him, yeah. I remember thinking his movement was woeful in that game, whenever someone was looking to put in a cross he never did anything to lose his marker, just ambled into the area. He looked like he could have played for a month and never scored that day.

I liked Hadji, picked up a moroccan shirt with his name on it when I was out there this summer. No idea if he was actually any good but I seem to remember him scoring a few screamers, looked good at the world cup (98 I think) too.

Everyone knows what Eddie Murphy looks like (JFH but slimmer )but I bet less than 1% of the crowd could pick Richard Reid out in a line up. I wasn't there so couldn't fairly judge one way or another mind.

These things do seem like a good idea and it's only right to keep building interest but for those of us who are interesting in participating but not from the area it does feel as though it's gone a bit quiet. Probably that's partly due to the expectation of getting everthing, instantly that the internet gives you. Hats off for all the hard work mind.

I think Shola would get the most goals in a full season in the Championship, but I'd probably back Lovelyhands to get the most in the prem. They're all a bit shit in their own little ways though.

I'm 25 and he's my favourite Newcastle player ever. He is underrated by many though, you're right - mad really as he was a regular for England for many years but that was slightly before my time so I don't know how he performed. Best player I've ever seen for us and I only have experience of him under KK. He must have been utterly brilliant in his prime, what a talent. Criminally underrated.

They defend well, but he's been superb. Fantastic shot stopper and bosses the defence well. I thought it was a nothing signing but he's done brilliantly there. Apart from Reina (and maybe that one who used to be here) no-one stands out as being any better than him.

Schwarzer has been superb for Fulham. Never rated him that highly / realised he was any good at boro but he's been class there, as good as anyone in the league I reckon.

I wouldn't go that far, but he's a real talent. Injuries have held him back massively.

Taylor, who else. He's got the best delivery but I don't remember very many decent balls in from him this season (in open play at least). Guthrie's got at least two assists from crosses that I can remember (blackpool and plymouth).

My old man always goes on about the popular, he was there pretty much every game until he moved away when he was 18. Got some cracking stories but he's pretty old now so takes a long time to tell them. He was there every home game for the fairs cup winning season and a few years either side.
