What if we are stuggling in the Championship come Christmas? OK, then, he'll get at least this season and half of the next one.

He gets at least this season and next, whether or not we go down.

OzzieMandias replied to Rob W's topic in Football
Surely the folks of Shields are not aall together at aall, what with half of them south of the Tyne, and half of them north of it. -
I was lucky enough to be at the 5-1 in Munich. Has to be that game.

The Fans: "Everyone Hates Newcastle United" - the Victimology Thread
OzzieMandias replied to GM 's topic in Football
I don't like any other clubs, really. Can't complain that they don't like us. -
Should it be "puff" or "poof"? I've never been sure. Only puffs say "poof".

I thought you'd been away so long you'd hung yourself after I discovered the absurd comment highlighted in my signature What's the sig say, then? "I am a boring, self-important twerp who's unhealthily obsessed with Ozzie even though he hasn't been on here much for the last couple of months"? no it says that Ozzie Mandiarse attempts to portray that he is a good knowledgeable supporter of the football club who actually thought a player called Stephen Spence played for Newcastle only 10 years ago and laid on a hat trick for Alan Shearer Shame is, Oz mate, is if you hadn't deliberately set about attempting to wind up people like me, who know about the club, we would never have noticed you. I think my suggestion for your sig was better, as that post demonstrates perfectly. my original suspicion that you were nothing other than a mackem WUM was quite good though, and bit too close for comfort I'd wager ? No, it was complete idiocy. Obviously, from my perspective -- someone born, bred and schooled within a mile or two of SJP who went to his first game 40 years ago -- your fatuous conviction that I'm a mackem just shows you to be what we normal folk term a total fucking moron.

Very good but not world-class. Classic centre-forward who played from the heart. Could lose confidence under pressure, though.

how comes? i dot think so he's a scrapyard shit from byker who has made his way by taking the piss out ofall and sundry and the rumours of his son riding on the back of the clubs money boils my piss Just forget about him man, he's history.

It'll be fun, this book. It'll be full of all sorts of stupid shit and NE5 will feel obliged to defend every last ghostwritten word of it.

Weirdly, Terry Mac now represents continuity at the club.

The news that mackems had given up eating Sugar Puffs.

Home 4-1 against Ferencvaros. Whole game was good but particularly tasty Ginola goal.

He's like a fish out of water that's been thrown in at the deep end.

Er... if it's too early to declare Allardyce a failure, it's WAY too early to declare his replacement a failure.

Alan Shearer should climb off sofa and show that he wants to manage
OzzieMandias replied to EthiGeordie's topic in Football
That's the main thing that could be said for the idea. -
Didn't do well at Blackburn. Didn't do very well at Inter, either. I was quite surprised to see he was going back there.

They all try and play safe football defensive tactics Why are there no English managers who are more tactically adept? walking into a line of fire here but i honestly feel people like allardyce are getting that way. Watching from afar, at Bolton, the main thing I liked about him was that he seemed unafraid to think about the game, and adopt new-fangled methods that might have been laughed at not too long ago. I remember looking at Wenger and his studious image and thinking: Are the foreign managers being successful because they don't have any stupid prejudices against approaching the job with your intellect. Unless they prove themselves at a lower level first. If Allardyce was successful here...? Ferguson had to make his mark first at Aberdeen. Very true. But then again, chicken and egg, how come none of the top gaffers are English? And we've only had a league that can attract the biggest fish for the last five-ten years. We've had no decent English managers for a lot longer than that.
