Sufism isn't a cult. It's a mystical tradition of islam that goes back centuries.

If this was RAWK it would be "coon".

Very positive view of Pardew's tactics from David Pleat: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/jan/15/newcastle-hatem-ben-arfa -
What's he doing playing baseball when we need him?

That was a really important three points -- it was absolutely necessary to capitalise on yesterday's draw at Klanfield -- and I don't think Pardew's caution was misplaced. -

I'm glad Joey Barton isn't the story today. -

Wilkins is being one whiny, irritating fucker today, like. -
Cool. But why do Nottingham Forest have a picture of a Mexican as their club crest?

You're indulging the mistaken impression that Ashley gives a toss what you think.

Good shout that. Yeah, great shout. Morrison's agent to Dekka: "Please bid for Ravel so he can get a better contract with Man Utd." Dekka: "Sure, why the hell not?!" Gesturting from the agent. You think his agent would explicitly say "hi, looking to exploit man utd. Fancy helping?" ??

I'd fucking hate them to win the league, with Redknapp or otherwise.

Let's hope so. Any reason why, OM? I've been to Morocco loads of times. Had a Moroccan girlfriend for several years. Did a fair bit of work there and travelled around a lot. Love the place, basically. And as it's the only country in Africa I have any connection with, I tend to root for them in football.

Let's hope so.

The title was always cringeworthy, tbf. And it still is.

What are we supposed to be laughing at, exactly?

FA Cup 4th Round: Brighton (a) - 28/01/12 @ 5.15pm (live on ESPN)

Reckon we're on TV either way. Brighton would probably mean slightly fewer Ronnie Radford re-runs. -

Wrexham or Brighton. Exactly the kind of tie I hate. We often seem to make an arse of ourselves against lower league opposition, and if we don't then there's no particular pleasure in beating them. If it's a "good game" that means they'll have at least given us a fright or even beaten us, and if they beat us we'll never hear the end of it. Cf Hereford. Not that far from Wrexham, as it goes. Brighton would be a better trip. But Poyet, Kazenga... bit of a banana skin. Liverpool vs Man U at Klanfield is a bit annoying because, if we're hoping for EL qualification, it's in our interest for as many "top six" clubs to remain in the draw as possible. That said, once I again I entertain the unusual feeling of wanting Man U to win a game. -
Good game.
-
Well, that was funny. Us having tonked them the other day, I'm now quite happy to see Man U take Man City down a peg.
-
Precisely what I was thinking.

That's exactly it. We have reached a point now as a club where you just can't get attached to players any more as within about 6 months if they are good enough they are being whored out to other teams and unfortunately we are now seen as a selling club which makes us vulnerable. They've only ever whored out one player though. Hardly damning evidence it's going to happen again. They've openly admitted to adopting a transfer policy of buying players with re-sale value though. thats pretty standard policy for a lot of clubs even the big ones, Man U don't tend to buy many players over 26/27 which seems to be our policy as well They don't take into account how much profit they will make when buying a player though. Where's the evidence that we do?
