Is anyone getting a message on their SS1 channel saying they are working on bringing it back as soon as possible? I thought it was going completely? I had a message about 2 minutes ago that it ceased broadcasting and now its saying they will sort it out and be back soon

Just wondering, ive got Setanta Sports 1, which is the UK version on my Freeview. Setanta said they will continue in Northern Ireland, but we receive Setanta Ireland aswell here, which is Setanta Sports 1 in the Republic. They might mean Setanta Ireland continues all over the island, so I might not have to cancel at all as SS1 UK will cease broadcasting soon.

What's even more tedious is that you have to go through the tedium of actually ringing to cancel and then get told that you have to send an email to cancel as well. Just saying it isn't enough, they want to SEE it as well.........MORONS! And you have to wait 30 god damn days after your next payment, which is essentially 2 more payments. If you cancel the DD they threaten with debt collectors and smear shit on your credit rating.

I tried to cancel the other day and was told (by two seperate people) that I had to email or send them a letter, then it would take a month from the next billing date. Predictably I've had no confirmation. Fucking amateurs man, absolutely no idea about customer service. I know people who work there, they said that they dont cancel after 30 days, they take their chances with another phone call saying "i cancelled and it didnt work" etc then they request ANOTHER letter and ANOTHER 30 day wait. Absolutely ludicrous. Im ringing them on Monday, saying im cancelling and on Friday once June's bill goes through the direct debit is cancelled, fuck them, having watched the thing in 6 weeks or something.
