Elanga has been very high up on the RW list. No two ways about it. Szoboszlai was always meant as one for our midfield three. Olise was a pipe dream. I don’t even think we made an official bid for him. At least not what I remember reading from anyone reliable. Don’t think Maddison would have played there either if we had gone hard for him. Mbeumo yeah, fair enough. Either way, even if he had a player or two higher on his list than Elanga it doesn’t make it right to sign him because we missed out on another player. Extremely limited player who had the the absolute perfect setup for him at Forest built around his strengths and where there was tons of space and runs to make in straight lines.

Think he would do well for a side like Brighton for example. Because of their style.

How I see this playing out. Bruno will come on early and we will look very up for it and manage to fluke a 1-1 goal. It’ll be like a basket ball game back and forth after that where we look like rabbits caught in headlights all over the pitch positionally off the ball. They then score their 2nd.

We just have to deal with it and not allow it to be an excuse. Excuses gives you the chance/allowance to underperform. With the right mentality and attitude I don't see it as a reason for not performing at this moment in time.

There's tons of realistic options that would jump at the chance. Many more promising than most of them.
