Not because players are acting up to get a move, no.
  2. Good luck with that. It's not like they are going to be holding a gun to our heads to accept their lowball offers. We can just say no thanks and please don't call again. If we sell for a lowball fee it's because we want to.

It's in no worse a place than it's been for the last 20 years other than we now have PSR shackles to prevent any challenge to the cartel.
  4. According to Craig Hope he believes we could be ready to sell if Liverpool offer £120m now. I don't know where this narrative is coming from, but a world where we are paying £60m for lesser proven players and selling one of the world's most prized strikers for £120m is insane.

Also this idea that fans don't want a player who behaves like this is self delusional. The same fans would have been groaning at every misplaced pass from Sean Longstaff despite him being desperate to stay here. Fans are fans though, they are meant to be reactionary. We need people at the club who can make sensible long term decisions when buying players, and above all buy players who will improve us on the pitch.

    Jacob Ramsey

Ramsey looks more like a Joe Willock type to me, more about pace and attacking prowess. I don't know if he has the tenacity you would expect from a specialist midfielder, but I haven't paid that much attention to him while he was at Villa.

    Anthony Elanga

The technical ability issue is a weird one. There' times when he can produce some absolute magic, clever whip on the delivery, a brilliantly intuitive first time flick to put someone in. Then there's other times when his first touch is awful, and the cross ends up in the stands. Howe was chasing him for a year so I will just presume he knows better than me. He's very exciting anyway.
  8. Forget Isak, the chants won't affect him I suspect. I just don't think it helps the team if they are hearing negative chants about Isak instead of supportive chants about them.
  9. He won't really care about the chants, he's pretty detached and emotionless from what I've seen of him. It probably plays a part in him being so clinical as a striker. I don't think he'll have a problem playing for us again either if he doesn't get his move, he'll just get on with it regardless of the boos.
  10. Might be because we've moved on just a bit from the halcyon days of aiming for 17th in the table under Ashley.
  11. Not to mention if you are Osula trying to stake a claim to the striker's role and you are hearing chants about Isak ringing round the stadium, subconciously you will know that it's because you are not having the impact to make them sing about you instead.

    Harvey Barnes

That's a problem in itself because Livramento is also right footed. Having said that, he seems more capable of beating a man and crossing with his left than Barnes.
  13. Yeah I said in the match thread I didn't think it was helping us as a team to hear songs about Isak instead of support for the team.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Think he did ok passing wise apart from the odd stray one, I feel he sometimes looks like he's overwhelmed by the pace of the game and struggles with the tempo. Other than that thought he was ok when he came on, certainly no worse than anyone else had been.
  15. I don't think we will, unless we are prepared for the season to blow up. We can't rely on one promising newcomer who isn't even an out and out striker. Only reason I can think we would sell is if we get Larsen or Wissa in and we feel we will get more out of one of them than a disillusioned Isak.
  16. Felt like he made the most of knowing Bruno's habit of dawdling on the ball and hit him hard a few times before he could get his bearings. Always felt he could be effective in an old fashioned hard tackling team. Would be the ideal Moyes player.
  17. There's been murmurs that we are ready to compromise on the price, but I'm hoping that is just journalists taking a shot in the dark hoping they'll strike lucky. There's no way they could know in reality.
  18. It was the wingback formation we were playing. In the first half at least you had Ramsey there who provided a few bright moments, but in the second Barnes was just running into walls.
  19. That was the standout thing for me, he just doesn't seem to know how to escape defenders. The natural strikers like Isak aren't physical beasts either, but they know how to steal a yard or drop in behind a defender. Osula lacks the top strikers movement.
  20. Singing songs about Isak isn't going to be much of a boost for Osula.
