If shirt pulling in the penalty area was actually penalised you can bet it would vanish overnight. It's blatant cheating and it actually spoils the game as it means less goals. I don't know why VAR hasn't been implemented in this regard, it's like a free pass. I'm sure attackers do it as well, but then they lose the advantage of the set piece if the goals are ruled out on a VAR check.

Not sure I've seen enough ability to qualify him as a midfielder mind. It's usually easier to go marauding forward from full back, but he looks hesitant to do so, maybe wary of the space he'd be leaving in behind with Burn not really suited to stepping upfield to cover.
-
Yeah he is. I said in the pre-game build up we needed him to step up if he was going to replace Elliott, and he didn't look up for it.
-
This game is why we needed the three points against Fulham. I'd fancy us against them with a decent bench but we are probably a month away from that. Can't see us getting a win even if it is at home, would be happy if we get anything tbh.
-
Yeah fair enough. If we can't get decent money then he's not the worst option on the bench. He can whip in a decent cross on his day.
-
I mean without actually knowing what the injury was, that's quite an accusation.
-
He should be sold if we can get any sort of decent money for him. If FFP restrictions are lifted, then fine keep him and Ritchie for 10 more years.
-
I'll be interested to see if there's anything to that injury, because while I do have doubts on his hunger and desire at this level, I'd be surprised if he was faking an injury.
-
Maybe it's harsh but when you have got used to Trippier or Tino carrying the ball forward, Krafth's awkwardness on the ball feels a long way down.
-
I don't think he lacks for confidence like, but yeah a goal would be good for him regardless.
-
Really bad performance that. The problem when you have too many B-players in the side is they compound each other's shitness.
-
He was our only decent player in the first half. I know there were some making excuses for that awful first half claiming we were exhausted, but how come he was still running and closing down like a demon? He's played more minutes than anyone else!.
-
Really hindered our football going forward but at least he did some sort of a job defensively.
-
As much to take him out of the firing line as for physical reasons. He's a squad player, mentally he's not up to being a starter every week.
-
It was 50/50 I thought. The player backed in a bit, and Burn barged him as well. I wish refs had the balls to stick to their decisions, no one would have complained if the goal was given.
-
He just seems to get worse every single game if that's possible. Not sure he found a single pass.
-
Beautiful bit of skill to set Barnes away. He's a bit of a rough diamond, but what really makes him stand out is his hunger to be involved. Missing from quite a few of the senior players starting ahead of him.

Yeah he was pretty great I thought, only one point in the second half he got left exposed for pace and Burn stepped across to block the danger.
-
A lot better second half tbf, but after Everton it's all about the three points. The season lives on!
-
What an awful performance. Not a single player had a decent 45 mins there. Gordon was the best for half an hour but then started passing to the opposition by the end. Fulham look better all over the pitch except in front of goal. Too many shit players = shit football unfortunately.
-
Very weak start from us so far. These players don't look like they think Europe is on.
-
Old enough to be Miley's dad then. Get him on the bench man, he came to Newcastle because he wanted a route to the first team.
-
How old is Alfie Harrison? Is he 14 or something?

It's bollocks basically. I could understand if everyone was starting on the same page, but since some of the biggest clubs have basically built their brand over the last 20 years by spending ludicrous amounts, the rest are already miles behind, and only an avalanche of spending would allow other clubs to get on a level playing field. There's nothing moral about having to sell our best players to these same cartel clubs who have caused this situation in the first place.
