  1. BTW, watching games live doesn't give anyone magical insight, I have seen games spanning three decades (LIVE AT THE GROUND liam ) and I have sat (and stood) next to some of the most clueless twats imagineable. So once again...what was your fucking point?
  2. It could soooooooo easily be moved on by TRon answering a simple question, but unfortunately it'll blow his argument out of the water. You are such a tit you can't even see your own hypocrisy. How many training sessions have you seen compared to Chris Hughton who has seen far more of these players on or off the field than you yet you feel qualified to pass negative judgement on his management skills. So once again I ask...what's your point? Why are you bringing Hughton into this? How many games have you seen him live in? It can't be that hard to fucking count th em man. I'm bringing Chris Hughton into this because it negates your absolutely shite argument obviously. Now cling to your little sentence like a desperate lawyer there's a good lad

  4. Well you probably should have considered it.
  5. He doesn't look that poor to me. The ball sticks at his feet, he tried to run onto Carroll's flick ons a couple of times despite it clearly not being his game and he got into goal scoring positions on at least three occasions. If that's him playing shit then I don't really take this type of criticism seriously. Not sure how you can say that. How many times have you seen him live for us? (ie not on TV) What's your point? Are you saying that everyone watching at the ground automatically has better judgement than those who are watching on tv? How many? 27 I'd be close, nay spot on, if I said none then? Since I don't know what the fuck your point is you can presume whatever you like. If you answer the question (which you already have by not answering it tbh) then I'll know whether the point I am considering making is relevant. So did you have a point?
  6. They did play three central defenders today which might have changed things slightly from that game. And what on earth does that have to do with us not going at them from the start? The game lasts 90 mins and if you think Guthrie and Nolan can run non stop for that amount of time you are watching a different game to me.

  10. His natural position should be deeper with someone like Lovenkrands further up I would have thought. the smaller bloke holding it up for the lumbering big bloke........if you insist. Or the big bloke heading it on for the smaller forward to run onto..

  13. How would you stop it? Since all of our central midfielders including your chosen one Guthrie have about as much stamina as Jimmy Five Bellies on a Saturday night it's no surprise the forwards get isolated.

    Tamas Kadar

He looks ready to play in this league right now. Every time he comes in he puts in a decent shift.
  16. Bristol City were damned lucky not to get beat today IMO. They didn't really look like scoring but they got one gift and the other one was just pot luck. We were a bit hit and miss but we showed tremendous character to come back and by the end City were hanging on for dear life. Well done lads, a good point in the end, although it should have been three. Jammy bastards.
  17. Hold on mate, you're not supposed to point out stuff which makes it look like Hughton knows anything about football. Stick to the script - he's Ashley's puppet and we are top of the league DESPITE Hughton's worthless efforts
  18. Well it would appear, he thrives on through balls and not the more aerial/physical approach we adopt. So in a team like West Brom I think he'd do well enough. Lovenkrands seems to do more than well enough in the same team, so blaming the style of play for how poor he's been is a bit weak. Not seen Best make many quality runs in behind the defense in any case, he seems to play with his back to goal more often than not and certainly doesn't seem to have the movement and anticipation you need to be the kind of player you describe. That would be due to him being a target man rather than an out and out goal poacher. I thought he did better as the game went on and the header where he nearly scored showed he's got some power in the air. I don't think he's a player we should have signed but he's nowhere near as bad as people are making out.
  19. Best needs to start alongside Lovenkrands when he does play, him and Carroll just don't work together. Both big lads will work better with a fast striker who plays on the shoulder of the centre half. If Best starts today he'll just come in for more stick unless he scores.

    Peter Løvenkrands

I can remember Butt whining about Zog after Roeder got sacked. Younger players have ambition if they have anything about them so the senior guys shouldn't be surprised if they have to fight for their places instead of walking into the team based on past reputation.
  21. The comparisons to Duncan Ferguson looked a bit far fetched a couple of months ago apart from the jailbird aspect, but in the air he's starting to look just as big a threat. Big Dunc also had a very good awareness and first touch though, and I'm not sure whether you can learn those. I was actually more pleased with his second goal because that took a bit of finesse.
  22. Aye, some TV makers are making a TV with like another screen on top of the screen that makes it 3D without any glasses. The first set of 3DTV's though will have to have glasses which are set to cost extra ontop of the £2k-£3k price for them. At the moment it's just too expensive to even think about getting one. Can't see that having the same in-your-face effect as the glasses tbh...and the glasses are fine for a novelty but would you really want to wear them to watch every programme?
