Can you remember a single decent cross from him on the day? He'll run enough for two men and that's worth a hell of a lot, but his delivery is so poor most of the time. Must be really frustrating for a striker waiting on a decent ball in.
-
How is that supposed to be an alliance? The colours are red and white, and the fat cunt with NUFC tattooed on his gut is shamelessly stood in front of it.

Especially with Miley coming in and doing so well. I know it's a lot of expectation to put on a 17 year old, but whoever we bring in has to be demonstrably better.
-
Just watching the highlights back again, didn't quite appreciate how pivotal Bruno was to two of those goals. He took out 4 players for Miley's opener, and that cross for Burn's goal with the outside of his foot was just sublime. You can't put a price on that sort of quality. Someone's going to pipe up yes you can, £100m, but you know what I mean.

I think they've probably picked up about 9 points over what they actually deserve. I suppose that's what champions do, but still feel like they've had a few too many jammy wins.
-
I thought he gave us some much needed Livra-style energy when he came on.

well I agree with you that we were a bit brainless and naive, already said in the match thread on the day that if you have a fatigued team, it's not going to help bombing up and down the pitch. We just don't have the resources or the legs at the moment. That said, I heard Howe saying that this is how we play and he doesn't want to change his philosophy on the basis of what might happen and I'm not going to argue. He's trying to drill an indentity in the players and he doesn't want them second guessing themselves.

It's seaysun caards if ye pleayse.

We'll spank their red and white bums. They'll be even more red and white by the time we're finished.

RTG will be down right now, bandwidth in flames. Literally.

When both are 100% fit, just knowing there is someone waiting in the wings ready to take their place seems to add some horsepower to their game. It's easy to forget during our current run of games that Isak was very effective at pressing defenders last season.
-
Why do that to yourself man.
-
Recent weeks have been poor for the same reason people are complaining though. You can't win games at this level if one of your forwards isn't either creating or scoring goals.
-
It's not about settling for a point though. If the squad is shattered from a succession of games and no rotation, then it's probably easier to make the pitch a bit smaller by staying compact and not chasing the game when you are ahead. When you have a strong bench then you can bring on fresh players when the starting 11 starts to run out of steam.
-
Agree, they are very savvy. Defended brilliantly and picked the gaps very well in transition.
-
Yeah and it probably makes it harder to see games out playing the front foot stuff when you don't have players to freshen it up.
-
It's happened too many times this season, we are losing a lot of points in the closing stages, especially since we've lost players for one reason or the other.
-
I thought they were noticeably sharper in the second half. How much of that was down to us dropping off the tempo a bit, but they were just a bit too cute for us.
-
Schar was just being Schar, I think at 1-0 up maybe we didn't need to play such an open game considering it was Milan who needed to chase the game.
-
Can't really complain tbh, they've defended a little more tenaciously, and had a bit more precision in attack. We've put up a decent performance in the first half especiallhy.
-
Unreal goal that. Joelinton barely reaches the goal line with most of his shots, then he pulls out one of the sweetest strikes of the season.
-
Almiron basically did their defending for them.
-
I think as a club we've outgrown buying a striker who has lots of qualities but not much of a finisher.

Happy to take a custard tart to the face if it happens. Reverse jinx inshallah.
