Not when we're playing with three CBs.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)

I agree, but against a weakened defence Wilson might get more space than against Arsenal, and he still knows where the goal is. -

If Isak's not fit, who would be your choice? -
I'm talking about us as fans, desperately hoping Isak will be passed fit. Even if he's not we need to know we can win this. It's Everton at home without their two best centre backs.

What are people's thoughts on him starting on Sunday? He's obviously not got the pace any more, but I thought he held the ball up in the first half, and occupied defenders. I was a bit disappointed that Gordon and Barnes didn't support better. Osula would probably cause more problems, but I'd be concerned he's not going to make the right decisions. Gordon up front is an option, but frankly he's been even less convincing. -
I'm more interested in how we are going to execute our plan without him. We need to be prepared and not pinning our hopes on a whim and a prayer.
-
He'll be revising his transfer kitty from £60m to £15m as we speak.
-
Fuck off to both teams. What a travesty of a competition.
-
Aye, I'm assuming he's been in for some sort of scan or something which has revealed bad news since then.
-
Why? What difference does it make?
-
Nah fuck that, don't want either side to win, but would probably prefer Man U to lose more.
-
Presumably The Guardian are reporting on the results of a scan or something.
-
Think Levy is quite capable of sacking him anyway tbh.
-
Whaaat?? But I thought Anthony Gordon was rueing leaving the theatre of dream where he could play Moyesball? Why would a no mark like Doucoure want to leave a top top club like Everton?
-
He sounds like a twat anyway tbh.
-
If he's on their site slagging off our players then it's unlikely. Unless he's one of those who trawls fan sites giving blowjobs for validation.
-
Very frustrating, because it was good work to get into that position in the first place. He offers threat, but fails to follow through.
-
Only reason anyone is even aware of what they write is The Athletic is usually available for something like £1 a month.
-
Oh aye, I'm sure he's devastated to be playing for a CL spot rather than Pardew-lite football under Moyes.
-
He's been excellent for us lately, no doubt about that.
-
I doubt Howe would be starting him if his commtiment was anything less than 100%. Form is another matter but regardless, if he moves then we get a big fee. Personally I don't see it, I just think it's fans not happy with his end product right now.
-
All the bad form or "poor attitude" will be forgotten in a second if he scores on Sunday. Honestly that's the only thing I am thinking about right now, especially with Isak potentially missing. No one will care about him having a poor season if he produces a winner against Everton. Simple as that.
-
When Isak is playing. I know what you are saying, and in theory it's true. But really they need to just do it in one game on Sunday. Everton's main defenders are out so that should help, but we need Gordon, Murphy and Barnes to be ready to pick the ball up and run it into the net if necessary. No sitting back and hoping someone else will do it.
