  1. ending in tears is playing like utter dire s**** for 45 minutes and scraping into half time at 0-0 and trying to tell yourself that is somehow 'good'. And then getting done over 6-0. This will probably end in a loss but I'll go to bed happy. Bed at 5 in the afternoon? Fair play
  2. Not really. Think he takes too long in possession to be at his best in the middle. Better of putting him out wide where he can just go at people as he's not a playmaker by any means. Could potentially be a very good CM if we got a really class supporting striker who would drop deep and do the bulk of the playmaking, ala Bergkamp or someone in that mold. But those players are a wee bit tricky to find generally. He's never a centre-midfielder. There's a trend to my comments after games now. We need centre-mids! Interested to see if Emre and Barton have much/any future under KK. We really need a DM though.
  3. Ameobi? Ameobi has always been s*** But he was an England U-21 regular for a time was he not? I think Milner is a decent player, but he just has a lower upside than most. It's hard to ever see him being a significantly better player than he is now, sadly.

  5. Enrique's passing/crossing is absolutely dreadful. The rest of his game looks very good though.
  6. Been the better side so far tbh. Actually playing it around a bit, very confusing stuff.
  7. He's too thick to take offence man, i wouldn't worry. Beat me to it.
  8. Only a matter of time before N'Zogbia is the NO.1 left wideout on the depth chart tbh. Exactly, we're slightly more than a week away from the Super Bowl. The hype is setting into my subconscious. Gonna be the worst superbowl ever. It'll be doing well to be worse than Seattle vs Pittsburgh tbf, absolutely rubbish game.
  9. He'll have to add consistency to his game in order to be comparable to Dyer? Dyer was a better player than a lot give him credit for, but he had about 1 really good game a year and was generally dreadful the rest of them. So he played well once in every, say, 8 games. Hardly any more productive than N'Zogbia on average.

  11. Stick him at left back tbh, it'll give him more space to work in!! It'll be interesting to see who ends up as first choice on the left wing. Duff can play right side, but he's not really as good there as his final ball is a bit wank, so he's not really a big threat to cut inside. Better on the left where he can get at the full-back and to the byline. So it should be one or the other, eventually, and I know who I'd want. Good to hear positive things about Emre, another who may really benefit from a team who actually try and play a bit of football.

    Chimbonda

The bumming of Beye going on in this thread is ridiculous, you'd think he was Cafu in his prime FFS.

    Chimbonda

It's hardly much of a source what with 1, it being The Sun, and 2, "he said this to his mates" ... but why anyone would want his character in our club anyway is a bit strange, especially given that we already have one of the best right-backs in the league, who shits all over Chimbonda. Beye has had a dozen decent performances, he in no way "shits all over Chimbonda". As a football player that is. Would seem he's a dickhead of the highest order though.
  14. Shocked this is so lop-sided. Got to be Gazza tbh.

    Today's matches.

An Everton/Spurs final would be good for football. Sick of watching two extra "top 4" matches every single season. I agree with both of these posts, strangely enough.

Jenas has such white man hair.
  17. We conceeded 2 goals more than Man U in 95-96, and 4 less in 96-97. TBH.
  18. Be fairly happy with Richards in all fairness. But aren't City absolutely loaded too though? Be absolutely idiotic of them not to give Richards a big contract, he's top class.
  19. Keep them all tbh. I don't really rate Milner in all honesty but he can play both sides at a competent, if unspectacular, level so he's a very useful squad player. If we could bring in a top class RW I'd not be overly heartbroken to see Duff leave, though I'd rather we just kept him to compete with N'Zogbia. Bit of a pisser though in all honesty, as arguably our two most effective players are left wingers.

    Aldo Duscher.

Not many players are, mind you.
  21. I've always thought Owen's first touch was pretty good personally. Owen basically needs a striker partner who will do 90% of the work in terms of build-up play and linking up with the midfield, allowing Owen to only come into the game once we get service into the box. It's why his partnership with Heskey actually works so well as Heskey, while not top class by any means, gets himself heavily involved in the game and does all the donkey work. I see Owen as a similiar sort of player to Inzaghi these days, lethal in a top class team with great service, but not someone who you want in a struggling team who won't create a whole lot of chances. Unlikely as we are to get him, I don't doubt for one minute that Berbatov is a target for Keegan as I reckon he'd do wonders for Owen. Perhaps lack of pace would be an issue, but get in a pacey RW and that'd be less of an issue. Would Berbatov and Owen up front with N'Zogbia and SWP on the flanks be too much to ask?
  22. http://www.askthelawguy.info/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/ricflair.jpg WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  23. "They're the second best team in the world, and there's no higher praise than that." "The 33 or 34-year-olds will be 36 or 37 by the time the next World Cup comes around, if they're not careful." "You can't do better than go away from home and get a draw... " at those in particular.
  24. Handsome bastard, by all accounts.
