How highly do I rate Peter Beardsley, you ask? Very highly, he was a phenomenal player. One of my early NUFC heroes.

From what I saw, it was a bright, positive performance from the lad. Great skill in the build up/assist to Obertan's goal. Hope he continues to make the most of his chances. If he plays like he did tonight in future games, then we've got a good talent on our hands.

I've made the decision not to shave until we win another PL game. Beard's getting a bit itchy now though... Should be enough motivation for the players In all seriousness though, this will be a tough game. West Brom are in good form - they were really unlucky to lose against City last week. Clarke is doing a good job there.

Just caught up with this thread. There's no way I would advocate selling Tiote just because he's "become a liability." Aye, he has become really hot headed recently - he's been very prone to the odd rush of blood to the head but in the end, he still adds that extra bit of bite in midfield which is really important to us. There have been games in the past where we've really missed Tiote - you could just tell that we were missing something. As decent as Perch is in the DM role, there's something about Tiote which makes him the better option for the position. A bit of coaching will go a long way to curb Tiote's tendencies. I don't want his ferocity/aggression to completely go, it is one of his best characteristics but he does need to learn how to keep a cooler head. Unfortunately he's getting a bit of a reputation now.
