  1. City really don't like the Champions League do they?
  2. How late are you working, fella! Depends on what kind of day I'm having, if it's a terrible one then I don't finish work until half 7. Guess I can still catch the second half though.
  3. Looks like this is another Europa League game I'm going to miss due to work

    Xisco

Are we going to see a Pardew inspired renaissance in Xisco?!
  5. Why do you think ? ITV has a history of ignoring everyone else for Man U and Liverpool. We have plenty proof of this ourselves when we were in the CL Well, not back in 2002/2003 when ITV had the full Champions League rights. We were going to be on an ITV channel one way or another.
  6. Yes, yes he did. He also claimed that the ref's had a poor game haha.
  7. Playing Carrick at CB was always going to go badly like.

    Xisco

What's this then? A Xisco hat trick? Refuse to believe
  9. Do you work in Mike Baldwins knicker factory? They're arguing that if Fletcher's leg was on the ground then it's a leg breaker.
  10. The general consensus at my work is that Tiote's red card was deserved
  11. Just caught up with this thread. There's no way I would advocate selling Tiote just because he's "become a liability." Aye, he has become really hot headed recently - he's been very prone to the odd rush of blood to the head but in the end, he still adds that extra bit of bite in midfield which is really important to us. There have been games in the past where we've really missed Tiote - you could just tell that we were missing something. As decent as Perch is in the DM role, there's something about Tiote which makes him the better option for the position. A bit of coaching will go a long way to curb Tiote's tendencies. I don't want his ferocity/aggression to completely go, it is one of his best characteristics but he does need to learn how to keep a cooler head. Unfortunately he's getting a bit of a reputation now.
  12. It's a bit of a puzzler. Lambert's proven that he can score at this level but Adkins seems to have other ideas.
  13. What's with the James Bond pitter patter?
  14. Guess they're going to ignore Larsson's studs on Shola's chest. Typical.
  15. What did he say? He usually talks s****... basically harsh red Well then, good on him for saying that. Though I fully expect Colin Murray to be adamant that it was a red card.
  16. Why, dude? Williamson hasn't turned into John Terry. I was blinded by our history of unusual derby scorers - Dabizas, O'Brien, Chopra, Luque, Raylor, Domi etc. Guess you can't polish a turd. It'll work in April. Watch this space!
  17. Nowt with mushy peas Neil, I demand you take that analogy out of your post
  18. Post-mortem time. Like I've said earlier, I really can't help but feel that we've dropped 2 points here. The mackems offered absolutely fuck all - the fact that the likes of Johnson and Sessegnon (their "creativity") did nothing of note just sums up their overall performance (we had to score for them ffs ha!). I'm not talking out of my own arse here but I really do think we were just about the better team. But once again, being their usual jammy selves, the mackems got out of jail. If that's the best they can offer against a team down to 10 men, then dare I say that they're going to struggle through this season. It was a decent, battling performance from our players (certainly after going down to 10 men) and we were desperately unlucky not to make it 2-0 in the second half. We were defensively solid (we have Colo to thank for that really) and I think keeping a solid line was the best thing to do when we went down to 10 men so bringing on Perch was a good move really. All in all, I guess that if you had asked me what score I would settle for before the game, then 1-1 (or a score draw) would have been it. It's just a kick in the teeth to lose the lead at such a late time in the game.
  19. Calm as you like. Everything he did today just oozed confidence and assurance. So glad he's back, a very worthy MOTM
