*Gulp* Not looking forward to this....
-
Got it so wrong tonight (not the first time too worryingly enough). - Shouldn't have left Ba upfront on his own. He was completely isolated. - The lack of adventure by playing 4-5-1 with an inexperienced Vuckic was a mistake. - As it stands, persisting with Obertan can only damage both the player's confidence and the team's performance on the pitch. Having said that, I still have faith that he'll turn it around. We're still 7th so that's a plus point but there are evidently worrying signs.

I'm expecting a media witch hunt resulting in a ban for this one to be honest.
-
He has the same name as one of our old LBs. How hard can it be? Indeed.
-
He has been poor for a while like. Stoke was his last game in which he had a blinder. Can we put it down to complacency(/lack of competition)? Covering for Raylor defensively? Fatigue? Worrying tbh. Needs a kick up the arse....
-
Worrying times tbh. Jonas has been underperforming since the Stoke game and Obertan is well Obertan.
-
Wooo, a potential new keeper. Should have Elliot as cover for LB then.
-
Agreed, if he had started then he would have provided support to Ba (with whom he does have some sort of understanding) and as a result, Ba would not have been isolated as such. Ba really couldn't do anything up top on his own, nee support from Vuckic didn't help either.
-
Agreed, I can understand starting him against lesser teams like WBA but starting against a team like Liverpool was ill-advised. Looked overwhelmed by the occasion. Still young though and he's definitely one for the future.
-
Completely isolated tonight. Vuckic didn't really offer him any support and the lack of Ben Arfa (with whom Ba has some sort of understanding with) didn't help Ba either. Did his best to try and force an opening.
-
Was okay for me but he was at fault (as well as Simpson) for the third goal.
-
Thought he actually improved towards the end of the game (when Gerrard came on really). Overall though he was shite, Williamson pretty much had him in his pocket for most of the game.
-
Who would replace him if he was dropped? Lovenkrands? Sammy Ameobi? I miss Marveaux I'd honestly start Raylor actually (even though a Simpson/Raylor combo down the right could easily go badly too........)
-
Btw, it's probably been discussed earlier but what the fuck were Sky doing showing a zoomed replay of Coloccini's challenge with Bellamy? I've never seen that before on live football ever.
-
Terrible, absolutely terrible performance. He didn't cause Enrique any problems whatsoever and overall, he did fuck all. His reaction to when he lost the ball when he ran into the referee was fucking embarrassing. He just stood there looking so gormless. Inexcusable. Simply has to be dropped to the bench.
-
Was absolutely at fault for Liverpool's second goal, should have left it to Krul! Tbf to him though, the third goal was the combination of Tiote/Simpson. Still needs to improve his forward play. One of his worst performances tonight.

Just got back from watching the game in town. It was an absolutely frustrating performance to sum it up imo. We did have one good spell of possession in the second half which I appreciated (unlike everyone else in the pub) and that was our only bit of good play really. Ba did his best to try and force an opening but he was left completely isolated. No striker partner and essentially no support from Vuckic cost us tbh. Starting Vuckic in a game like this was probably a bad call imo. I can understand starting him against lesser teams like WBA, but against Liverpool, it was the wrong choice to make. Liverpool's goals were terrible ones to concede from our point of view. No-one had Bellamy covered (good finish tbf) for the first goal; Simpson was entirely at fault for the second goal, should have left it to Krul and the third goal, Tiote picked the wrong option giving the ball back to Simpson as Danny was put instantly under pressure by the Liverpool players which led to him putting it out of play. Had we been more adventurous (and started Ben Arfa FFS), then we might have got something from this game. Man U next then *gulp*.

Looks like it (quotes are in the HBA thread).
-
On the bench for the foreseeable future then.....
-
Who are these people? Imagine having Alan Smith as your favourite footballer. f***ing c***s. (Tbf he had a decent few months in the Championship imho, for his standards anyway).
-
Henry was a fantastic player like. Unstoppable on his day. Lost a lot of my respect for him due to the handball in the Ireland game mind (and his reaction to our 3-1 win at Highbury).
-
Tbf Point Break is a decent film.
-
The way he left was a bit off yeah but I kinda understand his reasons for leaving and why the club allowed him to leave. Oh well.
