    Hatem Ben Arfa

Aye, in the number 10 role, there's a lot of pressure on the player to create something out of nothing and to string the perfect pass. As it stands, it is probably too much pressure for someone like Ben Arfa who hasn't played regular football until recently. Play him on the wing and build his confidence up more than anything, then you can think about easing him into the number 10 role imo.
  2. Would be our most handsome footballer if he joined! Class player. Great in the air, terrific finishing, decent speed for his height. Scores loads, but also very capable of assisting goals. Got three assists last game. Depends how much they will demand I guess. Seems to rate us personally, so in that respect he's realistic. Sounds good! But I'm not sure a striker should be top of our list come January (plus I'm still expecting Maiga to join at some point next month too).
  3. 33 points this week. *Drops further down the table*
  4. He did have a decent game on Saturday like. His hold up play was good, had great strength and yeah, he was unlucky not to score at least one of his chances. The main thing for me is that he is pretty much what you want in a striker

    Tamas Kadar

He was big mates with Ranger I think and there has been talk that he definitely enjoys his nights out (maybe a bit too much for a professional footballer).

    Tamas Kadar

Apparently, the management don't particularly rate Kadar Has to be in contention for the first team/starting lineup now like!

    Alan Pardew

This month is going to be a massive test for Pardew like. A test which I'm sure he'll thrive on. Pretty confident that we'll be okay (just though). Hopefully come the West Brom game (at the earliest anyway), Williamson and Colo will be our starting CBs.
  8. The last time Simpson started at CB (well I think it was the last time anyway), we lost 2-1 to Scunthorpe.
  9. Okay, so it's confirmed that he'll miss the trip to Norwich but I reckon he has maybe an outside chance of making the Swansea game at St. James'. In any case, until we know the full extent of Colo's injury, I won't rule him out for the rest of the year just yet.
  10. I'm sure we can sign anyone on a free transfer all year round. No restrictions as such. (Just guessing here).
  11. Well, I'm going to stay calm until we know more (probably this week).
  12. Yep No obvious pain from the looks of it either. There was obviously enough pain for him to have to leave the pitch... Well not severe pain.

Would still be five matches like. Reading that it sounds like total guess work. Just hope Williamson is back soon, we might just be able to get by against Norwich & Swansea, but WBA have Odemwingie & Long, who will rape the Perchy & friend combo. The earliest we'll see Williamson is probably the West Brom game at St. James'.
  15. Hopefully f*** all. Aye hopefully, plus I'm sure the likes of Douglas, Ryder, Starforth etc. would have also said something last night/today. Looks like Edwards is the only one saying this.

Would still be five matches like. The possibility of five games with Perch and probably Kadar at CB
  17. By "this year", Edwards must mean "what's left of 2011". Plus I'm not one to believe everything Edwards says.
  18. From what I gather, the only position in defence Gosling can play is RB.

    Steven Taylor

Oh yeah, that was a moment of magic from him
  20. From my understanding: Say if Man City wins the Carling Cup this season, that would mean 6th place becomes an Europa League place. Then if both FA Cup finalists have already qualified for the Champions League/Europa League, 7th becomes an Europa League spot.
  21. So Europe is seemingly the target. Interesting. Yeah, nowt wrong with aiming high I guess if there's no fuss about not making Europe in the end.
  22. Never a red card for Gary Cahill.
