Partly true, but it also has a lot to do with the fact only certain types could afford to go. Celtic fans on the whole, in Glasgow, tend to be from the poorer parts of Glasgow. Up here, they certainly have more scummy bastards than Rangers do, although on travels I guess there's no real difference. The anti-English thing is spot on though, it's fucking pathetic and gets fueled from all corners of the country. This isn't a Glasgow-specific problem. I'd probably say it's even a bit better in Glasgow than the rest of the place.

Nice gesture from him, considering the way he was treated by the last two managers, ie. total lack of communication with him, patience to get over injury and as Allardyce pointed out when he first came, a lack of understanding of personal problems. I hope it works out for him, I'd personally given up on him, but I did often think his injury held him back. I've little doubt Allardyce is telling the truth here.
