was designed, populated and run by basement virgins for absolute yonks and their taint still infects it

Get yer Dirk Kuyt for the lads.

I think Rafa signs players based on mentality, intelligence and dedication as priorities, with technique and physical attributes as secondary. With this in mind, it would make sense that people would think his transfer policies a bit weird. Chasing after seemingly average players, dumping supremely talented ones etc. He believes the team more often than not benefits from team players and cohesion, compared with talented mavericks.

How have a savvy club like Dortmund sold him for that? They must have thought he was shite, like. For comparison, I bet we were hawking Riviere about for more than that for years.

So what's the politics behind the name change? For those who can't be arsed to listen to the TF Podcast. -
Would hopefully suggest why he's not been particularly effective the last few weeks.

So true. -
Absolutely mad how a whiff of woman turns this place into a slobbering pack of teens like.

I've no idea what's going on here

It is a really great message, like.

How often have you watched Liverpool under Klopp? After Man City they're probably the most coherent and systematic team in the league. How you've come to the conclusion that they're a team of individuals and have to rely on Coutinho worldies is beyond me like, it's night and day to that in reality. I have to say they look like a team with shite defenders. Aye, their defence is shite but a team full of individuals with no real sense of their system relying on worldies? That couldn't be more wrong like. Everyone knows they've got a shite defenders and a shite 'keeper. Nah I was agreeing with you. They're pretty free flowing with the ball, they just have awful defensive players and don't appear to be able to defend set plays.

Aye, we really need to improve how we impose ourselves in the final 3rd. Almost non-existent centrally.

I get what you're saying but I feel like that just isolates Joselu more, in reality. If Merino continues to impress defensively, I would love to have a dynamic player like him playing a more reserved role. My main problem is that Shelvey likes to play this 'quarterback' role, without being particularly defensively minded, meaning our midfield is always pretty deep even if we have a DM playing.
-
DO you always have to play with a purely defensively minded player? We just went up against one of the most potent attacking forces in the league and didn't have that much bother without a pure DM on the pitch.

Captained Kane correctly for once!
-
Did he bring a bucket to work or was he just smashing 9 bars in dustbins before he came to work to be cained all day?

It's strange. Do people prefer 1 team going on massive streaks (Real scoring every game for years etc) or the 'storylines' of relative minnows taking down the 'big clubs'. I think I prefer the latter, and therefore prefer having a more competitive league.

I suppose there are some teams in the middle of the pack that reckon they'll invest early and keep riding the wave of higher TV money than their rivals. Ignoring the fact that the rich clubs above them have already got it locked down. In reality it's just the middle clubs fighting to get a relatively similar amount of money to what they do now, with the rich clubs getting more money and the newly promoted clubs getting less. It just can't be fair in the current climate of football. Merit based rewards can only work if you can't buy success.

Barça and Madrid managed to play off the rest of the La Liga clubs against each other for years until they finally agreed and forced through our current collective TV deal. How did they actually manage it though?
