  1. Huntelaar would be the biggest waste of money we'd possibly ever spent. I watch a lot of Eredivisie and if you look at his scoring record beneath the bare fact he's scored 28 goals this season you'll see he's scored a lot of his goals against teams that are of Championship standard.
  2. Max Johnson was here before Soderberg arrived but hadnt played for a while because of injury.
  3. It's worrying that with so many games left were already desperatly looking around us hoping a team will fall away. The reality is our fate is still completely in our own hands and we have to get results, especially in the the next 2 games against Birmingham and Fulham.
  4. Roeder is making the same fatal mistake again by saying he is clearing out in the summer when his current squad still has to play another 10 or so games for him. He did it after Alkmaar last year and for me that was a big reason for the downturn in form at the end of the season.
  5. My mate is a big Sao Paulo fan and rated him very highly when he was there. Not sure how he's been since he moved to Europe. 30 goals in 34 games this season for Sevilla according to wiki. Fail to see why he'd want to move here. Arouna Kone could be worth a look though, quick and play upfront and on the right. Arouna Kone is shit.

    Today's other games

Hopefully Arsenal can beat 'Boro now and it will have been a near perfect day for us.

    Jermaine Defoe

I think if we stay up we'll get better than Defoe anyway. He wouldn't have made that much of a difference to our current plight anyway imo.

    Embarrassing

Not stopped me making the journey up to Newcastle this year on numeruous occasions and attending several away games as well. Despite me not owning a car may I add. The thing that pisses me off is this is a game that could decide our fate in this league and people can't be bothered to go the extra mile. I know I will definetly up for the Fulham, Reading and Sunderland (If I can get tickets) games just because there such huge games. Are you taking two days off to go to those games like? Think a lot of people are missing the piont. If you have family or work comitments fair enuogh but there is no chance there would sale on the door if we were top of the league. It's more of a call to the fair weather supporters who can make it to get there arses down. Surely a club with the fanbase the size of ours can manage 2,800 from wherever. So remind me why you weren't at Liverpool or at home to Blackburn again? Liverpool, I had coursework deadlines for the Monday. Blackburn, I didnt have enough money for the train fare up.

I see the point you are trying to make but why should everyone keeping shelling out fortunes to watch that rubbish when our supports seems to make no difference? Can't give up hope. People say the support makes no difference but we need to stay with the club even if at this moment we are are playing crap. Times like these when it's back to the walls is when the club needs us to get behind them most.

    Frank Lampard

Apart from being unrealistic it's also impossible. The rule that allows him to move for £5 million stipulates if he is to do that he has to move abroad and can't sign with a English club.

Pay on the door at Birmingham. Pretty disgraceful that we can't even manage to get 2,800 for what it is a relegation six-pionter. Must be well short of the 2,800 if it's pay on the door as well.

    Gretna

Even if they played at home infront of crowds of 2,000 how would they pay off millions of pounds of debt? It's ridiculous the way the club has been run and they'll be dead before the weekend. The fans don't seem to care, I haven't heard a single one pipe up about this. Gretna don't have millions of pounds worth of debt. The debt is fairly small (a couple of hundred thousand if that) but the problem is the club hasn't been run like a business and is currently structured in a way that it would make losses, which was fine while they had a millionaire backer pumping money in. As soon as that money gets taken away the losses start to build up and the shit hits the fan.

    Gretna

I care. I sincerly hope they'll survive, that ground share is killing them tohugh.
  16. A charity won't be splashing out money on football shirt adversiting.
  17. According to Keegan we had money to spend in January, unless you know better. We did have money to spend. Hence the accepted Woodgate bid.
  18. Numb. I'm going to go to Birmingham and sing my heart out in support of the tema but in all honesty im dreading what I could witness on the pitch.
  19. Wake up people, these are the reserves that were taken to extra time by Whitley Bay just this week. The likes of Kadar, Lua Lua etc. are nowhere near ready ot be thorwn in at the deep end.
  20. I'd rather have a kid playing than Smith, Butt, Duff or Barton. You presume that these untried kids would be better than the above. While that lot are shite their is no garuntee someone like Lua Lua could step up and do any better.
  21. Am I the only one who thinks that the idea of starting youngsters as some on here are suggesting is absolutely insane. Why the heck would you throw Lua Lua or Carroll into a game where we aboslutely must win. Did we not learn from Huntington at Alkmaar last season?
  22. If we don't pick up wins against either Birmingham or Fulham we need to press the panic button and make a change. I really don't want to see it happen but we cannot go down, simple as.
  23. It's pretty obvious we won't get a penny for him. His contract won't be renewed and he'll be somebody else's problem.
  24. SSN are just making stuff up. He might have only signed until the end of the season but he is definetly not on loan.
