  1. I don't think he's lost the fans, some are pissed off at him when he makes basic errors too often but he can hardly be faulted today because we tried to play the way most people wanted. I think the away support today will have given him more time and the performance will have done no harm at all. People wanting Arsenal to beat us to get rid of Allardyce is shocking, I hated Souness with a passion but couldn't wish a defeat on us to get rid of him.
  2. No and it wasn't needed, the players were applauded off for a change.
  3. I'm not trying to have a go at people here but I can only think that those who are having a go after that performance haven't watched it, we played really well and didn't deserve to lose. I'll have a go at the players and manager when they are in the wrong, today isn't one of those days for me.
  4. I've enjoyed the game more than ony other this season apart from the score. If we'd played away like this all season we would b 8 points better off because we would have won at Derby, Reading and at the mackems. We'll win more than lose if we can play like that every week, a bit more creativity in the middle and we'll be OK.
  5. It's been an excellent game so far, nobody would have been booing if we'd gone about every game like this.
  6. That was much better, picking out individual players for criticism in the first half is a bit harsh as we've played well as a team. N'Zogbia has done nothing wrong so I find it hard to understand how he could be one of the worst players, anyway, we've played well as a team. I must admit that I expected a very unbalanced game but it hasn’t gone that way so far, we’ve played down both sides.
  7. That line up doesn't look like a winner to me, it's hardly different to the ones that are called shit most weeks. Our most creative player once again has to run the full length of the pitch to do some damage.
  8. This gave me confidence in what he's trying to do. “We haven’t played like Bolton since I got here and we haven’t tried to. My long-term vision is to play like Manchester United or Arsenal, but to grow a club like that will take five to ten years and certainly not six months. You can’t just build a team like that, it would cost £150m and that is not me sending a message to Mike Ashley, it’s just the way it is. Even if you spend £150m you couldn’t guarantee you would have a team like that. “We are doing the best we can. Even when we were winning games at the start of the season we were conceding too many goals and making too many mistakes, but the results hid them for a while. That is what we are working on and trying to improve. The way the Premiership is, it’s far too great a task for players at a club like this to score three goals every game to win. We’ve got to work on our deficiencies and become more efficient.”
  9. The Journal has a good article with some good quotes from Allardyce this morning; it's worth a read and may give a few people a little more confidence regarding what he's trying to do here. Read Here
  10. A footballer who puts cigarettes out in a kids face and is waiting to go to court for assaulting a team mate should think twice before calling booing “vicious” and accusing them of” baying for blood.” I don’t have a problem with him having a go at the fans for booing players, his choice of words is way over the top, he’s used words that he should have been using when he looked at himself in the mirror after doing the above or talking to the family member who thought he’s stick an axe in the head of some kid because of the colour of his skin, the blokes a hypocrite of the highest order.
  11. I've been to games home and away and I'm yet to see a poor performance on the back of booing, I have heard booing on the back of a poor performance though. I'd be embarrassed if I was a footballer and came out with shite like that to excuse poor performances from the players and manager. The booing can affect a game, booing has not affected any game that I’ve seen, managerial tactics and shite play has.
  12. I wonder if Barton was one of these players who was asked by him manager why we were playing bad and didn't have the bottle to answer him, what a cheeky bastard.
  13. KKs finished in football. Good days but they deserve to be kept in the past. I'd agree that his days as a manager are over but I wouldn't say he's finished with football, I still think he could do something in football and I'm sure he'd be very good at it.
  14. If that's the case then Allardyce clearly doesn't understand what he's doing wrong or why so many people are getting frustrated and putting his job at risk.
  15. I doubt we'll ever know how much he's got to spend, all we'll know is how much we have spent at the end of the window, gone are the days when the club bragged that we could out-spend Man U. I also don't think that Ashley wants rid of Allardyce, I think it's his job to lose, if he's had a kick up the arse by the fans on Saturday then we might see a change, we'll soon find out one way or the other.
  16. 3,000 away isn't too many but the way we're playing, the timing of the game and the ticket price might put a few off, it's a hard call but too many things seem to be against selling out as many as 3,000. I'm a bit surprised that the club don't have historical information regarding how many people have applied for tickets away to Chelsea. I just hope the people who are voting to take the full allocation are not doing it for the sake of it as the club might think twice before seeking advice in future. I can't ever remember the club doing anything like this ever before, it's another good sign of how we now have a club that wants to listen to the fans and do what's best for us, it's only fair that the club get's the same in return. If people want tickets then vote go get more, if people were not going to go anyway then you have no right to vote for more. The club have taken 1,500 tickets and 1/3 of those are still to sell, I think the club are asking for advice on what I think is one of the hardest games to call for ticket sales, that may be why they are asking.
  17. We've had our say (or those who were booing have) and Allardyce knows how people feel, I think it's time to show support for now and see if we really can make a difference. All the booing in the world will not change what's already happened.
  18. That's just about the only thing we haven't tried so far, playing them in a straight line.
  19. How about some backing music when the team are announced, Oh Shit by the Buzzcocks wouldn't go a wrong.
  20. I wouldn't worry about it, it's no big deal and you have no reason to apologise to me.
  21. Typical, if it's good he belongs to England, if it's bad he belongs to Newcasstle, it's actually quite funny.
  22. First of all, I accused you of nothing, I suggested that you did what you were asking somebody else to do. If you put a fraction of the effort into reading a perfectly legible post that you must put into verbal communication then you wouldn't be having a go at somebody else.
  23. It looks like Oliver is getting ready to crawl out of the woodwork again, he's getting fed with nothing so no doubt Allardyce will see the wrath of a man who is totally spineless.
