  1. How many of those other players do you think will have played less games than Owen over the last 2 years? If it was any other player then I'd agree, Owen must have a worse games played ratio than Dyer, we can't rely on him and if he's going to be a big part of our plans then we're going to be fairly dissapointed. The "classic pre-season injury" is also a classic Owen injury.
  2. Is this going to be another season where we've got more chance of seeing an own goal than an Owen goal?
  3. Emre to Bayern and Lahm coming the other way, if only.
  4. Gary Oliver is no relation to Alan Oliver. The Chronicle seem to be struggling to get information from within the club now which is a good thing as it may force them to do some proper journalism instead of being fed on shit.
  5. The questions should be put into a poll if possible and let forum members have a say in which questions are most important to them, they can then be ranked by importance as it may be a case of a limited number of questions per person. It’s no good asking the shit ones (I'm not saying any are shit) only to find that the best ones have been missed.
  6. I've got very little negative to say about Bellamy other than I don't think he was as bad as some people make him out to be while here, he was far from being perfect but also far from being the worst footballer when it comes to acting a prick. He was accused of being a racist by some lass while he was regularly going to hospital to visit a young Asian lad who was terminally ill, it's funny that some people think a racist would bother to do that. Bellamy was far from perfect but he wasn't half as bad as Bowyer, a player who seemed to be well liked, probably because he assaulted Dyer. Footballers are roll-models to kids, like it or not but if Barton starts to act up then he'll deserve to get some stick and I don't care how well he plays, he represents the club so should have high standards.
  7. I would guess that those who represent Newcastle-Online could do with some help with questions, if people want answers then the only way it will happen is if they ask the questions.
  8. Now this may just be my memory going nuts, but is there not a payback or renegotiation clause on the stadium loan in the event of a change in ownership? Sure it was in an article about the US financier behind the deals. I dont remember that story matt, i still think the analysis of the banking situation holds. I heard that years ago, I have no idea if it's true.
  9. NE5 would probably tell Mort that he hated Shepherd and wanted Ashley all of the time.
  10. Pack it in, I'm getting dirty looks in the office while reading that, I couldn't stop laughing.
  11. I think that's the whole idea, get people who are trusted, rather than the local media who have been in the clubs pocket for years. Who would you rather have tell you what was said? I'd rather listed to somebody who has no reason to spin anything and only tell the truth without "a club source" being quoted.
  12. I'd go along with that, it's a pity he didn't realise that he's got a fresh start in life and it might be a good idea to make the most of it.

Reg Vardy is no longer Reg Vardy, I'll have to find out what they are now called so that I can boycott them.
  14. Chris Mort gave an interview and answered what he could at that time, it was limited because his knowledge of the state of the club was at that time limited. He said he would reveal more when he had more information to give out, he's still doing a review which will give him that information. I'm glad he didn't come out and just spout a load of rubbish only to look stupid at a later date, at least we know that he's not just going to come out and say what we want to hear, personally, I'll be more likely to take his word when he does speak with a bit of knowledge and understanding of our position. I find it refreshing that they are going to the bother of finding out what they have to work with before telling us anything, it would have been far too easy for him to drop a few sound-bites into the press conference to make people happy while having no idea where the club is or is going. The club looks to be a more professional outfit already, long may it continue.
  15. If you had £100 in your bank and were getting 50p extra back per year and you owed somebody £100 and that cost you £10, what would you do?
  16. Ashley owns the club so he owns the debt, I really can't see him holding the levels of debt that we probably have and paying interest to service them. The interest rate on savings is usually less than the rate for borrowing although that isn't always the case as you can get a fixed rate while low and get more back when the interest rate is high.
  17. Vic, you've lost this one before so I'm a bit surprised you try it again, I'm sure Wullie had the shares in nufc as being below 20p, down from 135p.
  18. Where did that lot come from? You're listening to the voices again, either the tablets are not working or you've forgot to take them again, some people never learn.
  19. Dave pulled the plug on the server to get more people donating, as if we wouldn't work that one out.
  20. As for you supporting Souness, I must admit that one is not something I can say is 100% true, I can only go by what people have said, people who I have no reason to think are lying, you on the other hand are not Leazes, so who should I believe? I thought one of the reasons you thought we should have appointed Roeder was because we’d appointed winning managers in the past and they had failed so the natural thing to do was appoint a failure. I don’t think the European qualifications, FA Cup finals and 3 league finishes are failure, taking us from 2nd in the Premiership to 14th (edit 13th) and taking a profitable club and building up massive debts is certainly a failure, maybe you think that is a success. What did we win for qualifying for Europe? What did we win for those cup finals? What did we win for those 3 best finishes, the ones so good that we sacked the manager who achieved them? That question I’m avoiding to answer seems to be a big problem for you as I answered it weeks ago and have posted a link to it, you even followed the link and started posting in the same thread.
  21. If I was in Shepherd's former position I wouldn't have needed hindsight, unlike you and him I knew both Souness and Roeder were not good enough, it's foresight.
  22. I'll inform my opinion if and when it happens, not before.
  23. In the same way that the major shareholders in any company could but rarely do veto decisions made by the chairman.
