  1. Routledge played well against Chelsea, if he can do it against them then he should be able to play well against most teams. If it was Stevenage then I'd be willing to write it off, it wasn't, he played well against one of the best teams in the league.
  2. He's an attacking left-back who rarely left his half, I can only remember him being below where I sit 2 or 3 times.
  3. I don't remember the best left-back in the Country doing too much that game.
  4. Yes, the lease had them paying nothing on gates below 32,000 and 50% of receipts above that which they have re-negotiated to £3 million a year.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I think most of us expect to see the unexpected from Ben Arfa. He's a creative player who can do things which no other player in our squad can do so he will add an extra dimension to our game and excitement of not knowing what he’s going to do next. Where will we finish? Probably mid table which isn't bad for a first season back in the Premiership.

    Sunderland...

They are investigating the mackems, that doesn't mean that they will do anything.
  7. I didn't agree with it then and I still don't.
  8. He hasn't been bad at Premiership left-backs, it's once he gets past them that he's struggled.
  9. Enrique should get at least what he's currently on, Barton is different because of his age and baggage that will probably put other clubs off him.
  10. I'm surprised that hasn't been mentioned earlier, was he injured in the Man City game? The games were so thick and fast over Christmas I can't remember what happened in which games.
  11. He shouldn't start if he's not fit to play 90 minutes, that's crazy.
  12. Good, I thought that he'd gone home early from training.
  13. I would love to see Ferguson getting games but not in a depleted squad, I'd rather he had games with players around him who can help him out and bring him on a bit.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He's coming back here in March for a visit, we don't know when he'll train with the squad though.
  15. He's put decent balls into the box and had nobody getting on the end of them.
  16. Ranger needs games in the middle, not on the wing. As for Jonas, I don't think he's any better than Routledge and was getting as much stick as Routledge earlier this season, in fact he was probably getting more because I remember sticking up for Jonas.
  17. His 1000 minutes have been all over the place.
  18. He played 5 games at Spurs and that was spread over a 3 or 4 year period in which he was loaned out twice. His assists record for us last season, which is more relevant than when he was 19 or 20 years old is one in almost every two games.
  19. Routledge was only at Villa for less than a year and only played twice, that's hardly giving him a chance to prove anything.
  20. I think he could become a decent winger with the right coaching and he's proven while here that he can do a job, for some reason he hasn't made the step up this season and a lack of games can't have helped him.
  21. If we sold every player who had been poor in those games we wouldn't be able to fulfil our remaining fixtures.
  22. Getting somebody in at the end of the month will not help tomorrow.
