Lovenkrands didn't have to stop running and would have scored if he hadn't stopped. Best did something like that in the first half when a ball was put through. He just stopped running for it then realised that he could have got it and started running for it again but by that time he had no chance as he was now going from a standing start.

Andy Woodman is hardly an expert on goalkeeping, the highlight of his career is either not getting a game while at Palace for 5 years or playing for Northampton Town.

I think Simpson switched off after a tough 90 minutes and completely forgot that he was up against a right footer.

Ranger changed the game against Liverpool and looked good when he came on against man City and again today for his 7 or 8 minutes. I think the chance he missed today was all down to him and pace and persistence is a fairly good attribute for a forward. Shearer worked with him and thought that he had the makings of a very good forward. Beardsley thinks the same so I’m more than happy to suggest he’s got something about him.

This is the same club that forgot to register a banned player in Europe until they thought that he had served his ban, only to be told that he was still banned because we hadn't registered him.

I don't even agree that he's the better player now, he's looking like a player who until recently hadn't scored a competitive goal for more than a year.
