I must admit that Hughton has brought us some unexpected results and more often than not they are positive results, even when his team selection has looked wrong he's been proven to be right. I still think he’ll struggle next season but I’m nowhere near as sure about that as I was a few months ago. I’m not going to go OTT about him but he’s definitely settling in to the job, at least at this level. If he has a good transfer window then he could have a good season next year.

You've never heard that one.

That was a very good win, I knew it was an away win as soon as I had seen our starting 11.
-
As if Hughton would be stupid enough to pick that team.
-
You've just set yourself up if we don't win.

Excellent, 1 more thug and they can have a couple of tag teams.

I've never been outnumbered in a pub, well I personally have but I was with others at the time.

Anfield is still the best away ground that I've ever been to and I've had some brilliant times with the scousers when we've both been playing in London.
-
The law of averages would say that he has at some time.

Village Idiot is also learning Geordie, I've noticed that it’s creeping into his posts.

We'll draw our next two games and then win at home to take the top spot, I hope.

I know how you feel but the stories about Ranger don't come even close to any of the 3 main problems which Carroll has had. If Ranger isn't getting games because of his attitude then neither should Barton or Carroll get games because of what those two have done while employed by the club. I would rather our players turned up late for training than went out fighting in the middle of Liverpool or sticking a glass into somebody’s face or breaking a team mates jaw, allegedly. I would prefer it if the players did turn up on time and had good attitudes but on a scale of things, it’s nothing.
-
I haven't heard anything specific about what Ranger has been up to but it must be really bad when the people who stuck up for Carroll have a problem with Ranger.

Those 25 games will probably add up to 6 or 7 in total and they've been spread over most of the season.

We need a central midfielder who can control midfield and somebody to play up front who will get us goals, other than that we could do with a right back unless we're going to play Steve Taylor in that position.
-
Some probably did stop because they didn't have enough money and I hope that they are in a better position to come back. I have a mate who has been going to matches for over 30 years and he lost his job and couldn't go.

Most of the empty seats are corporate and they might remain empty because of the current financial climate as a lot of companies are still struggling. The directors box is something like £200 per game and I can't see why anybody would want to pay that. The other main areas for empty seats are either end of the Milburn and they were empty a lot last season.

He would have to be either pissed or mentally unstable. I wouldn't know where to start pulling that to pieces as it's so full of crap.

What a load of shit that article is, he's been loyal to Ashley and I expect the same in return. My guess is that the News of the World are going to be the next ones banned from St James' and they deserve it for that steaming pile of shit.

He was supposed to be going to get punished this year but hasn't.

This should have been in here. Nolan seemed to have his typical game, do very little yet still manages to score a good goal. Still, Nolan next to Guthrie is by far the best central midfiled partnership we've had this season. I didn't think Blackpool were too bad but they don't have the finishing touch that we've got. I thought that they played neat football but didn't have too much to worry us, Harper spent most of his time collecting long range shots which probably wouldn't have crossed the line had he missed them.

I'm already looking forward to getting home.
