It's not like you to be wrong about anything, is it? Anyway, this is about Blyth, have you got anything to say on the matter?
-
We've got a new higher rate tax band starting in 2011, we'd have a better chance of keeping him if we change the way he's paid and pay higher now reducing as his contract runs down. We should look at paying him at a higher rate in the first two years when he'll be more effective anyway and drop it down for the second 2 years.

I agree that they should be able to play where they want to play it but that includes playing at our ground. Where would you want to play if you were a Blyth player? I know if it was me I'd go for a once in a life time game at our place if I played for them and had the choice rather than at the ground where they play every couple of weeks. That money you mentioned would be dwarfed by playing at ours and charging £10 to get in as they'd gross over £500,000.
-
Didn't Wrexham take a corner 3 times before they scored? I think they were very unlucky that night and they were given a massive lift by the crowd.
-
Football fans being fickle is why they'd probably fill the ground. I think the FA Cup is one competition that Blyth will not win, massive gate receipts will be the only way they can come out as winners in any way. Did they not spend the money last time on Croft Park?

Just get 2J to do the editing and you're sorted. -
I think they would get close to filling the ground, why do you think they'd only get 20,000?
-
The gates were locked early if I remember right, I was in the Leazes and seem to remember the tannoy saying certain areas were full.

I could take my video camera and upload it. -
Agreed, it would set them up for years. I think they would play above themselves anyway but playing at St James' would give them a massive lift as anybody who watched them against Wrexham will know.
-
It wouldn't be a disgrace because neutrals would go and watch the game.
-
52,000 would set them up for years to come, 4000 plus potential TV money wouldn't go as far.
-
I'm over the moon for them and would love to see them play at St James' again.
-
You must have missed the bit when they said "in with a chance of getting off the mark." The one you're thinking about has got less chance than the players who have left the club.
-
I was expecting to see a couple of slices of toast jumping out of the top, I suppose it gives them a head start if they're looking at Tefal as a potential stadium sponsor.

I could do a match report but silver will have to change hands before anybody gets a good write-up. -
As far as I'm aware he's still here.

It could be argued that getting Smith and Duff out of the team did more than bringing Viduka in. In no sense can Barton be classed as a 'good' signing at this time although that could change in future.
-
Barton and Viduka can hardly been hailed as good signings by Allardyce, they've been here for almost 1 1/2 seasons in which we've played 62 competitive games and between those two we've had 57 games and 9 goals out of them. Beye has been an excellent signing, especially after Allardyce pissed off, Enrique has a lot to learn but shows promise, Faye hardly lasted longer than Allardyce, he legged it because he'd fallen out with Keegan. I'd take the 2nd 4 over the first 5 any day of the week.
-
I hope whoever did that to her face spent a lot of time behind bars, that's horrendous. I admire her, the pain must have been immense and would have killed a lesser person.
-
I did exactly the same but have gone back to 1 today with the news that we've made Owen an offer, I'll be back to 10 before 9pm if he hasn't accepted by then.

If that is the case, why did Ashley knock back the Man City owners before they approached Man City?
