    Negativity?

Good post. The negativity is stupid this early in the summer, we've got plenty of time to bring people in. I don't think anybody connected to the club has come out and said we're not spending anything but some people on here go on as if they have. All that has been said is that we'll be going for younger players who will play for the club for years rather than somebody who has peaked or is on his way down. We're looking to buy players of the quality of Modric and I'm over the moon with that outlook. We'll miss some but we'll get others, if we brought in Arshavin after losing out on Modric I'll be more than happy. Even if we don't get him, if we're after him, we'll be looking to bring in somebody of that quality. I can't wait for next season, regardless of what the knee-jerker’s say.
  2. Modric turned us down, that's why I'm happy they're out.
  3. He had plenty of time to get to it & make it look better than it was.
  4. That's all sunderland needs, another rat.
  5. Well done, now have a go at the other prophets of doom.
  6. No contradiction at all.
  7. You asked if he deserved a new contract and I said that he did, when his current one runs out, I didn't say we shouldn't negotiate now though.
  8. He's hardly improved since he played his first game when Bobby was here, he had a lot of promise for a young lad but I'm not sure that he's really got his game together, some of that can be because of who he had to play with but that's an easy excuse. Yes he can have good games but he has as many poor games as good ones. How much Owen and Barton get paid has nothing to do with how much Taylor should be paid, and they don't get it for being injured or going to prison. Does he deserve a new contract? Yes, when his old one runs out.
  9. He would have had a better deal if he'd improved, he looked a great prospect when he first got into the team and has hardly moved forwards as a player since.
  10. I can think of at least one person who will still spin this.

    Mario Gomez

I'm sure it was 4, twice from the start and twice from the bench.
  12. Something is going on because he didn't need to ask the question.
  13. I'm not sure if we'd have gone down if he'd stayed but I think the players would have been on such a downer that it was a possibility, Keegan turned it around by getting the players playing again. I'm not sure Allardyce had that in him, I think he'd have tried to shut up shop and we'd have suffered even more for that. Relegation was certainly possible and if he'd stayed we would have been talking about the possibility of going down at least as much as we were.
  14. The games being random is bollocks.
  15. It will be good going to Wigan with a Keegan team, we might actually compete this year.
