    The Mackems Game

I'll be delighted if Martins gets on. Amoebi and Smith won't play at all I hope, especially Amoebi, when he's fit he's shown this year he can be OK but when he's unfit he's just rubbish. Rather have Amoebi in then Smith tbh

    The Mackems Game

I've got a feeling we won't start playing xisco until after the window shuts, because as soon as he plays 10 games for us, we owe his ex club about £2.5m for appearances. So until no-one comes in for him this January, he won't play. Stupid idea but oh well. I'm looking forward to seeing the lad play. You don't play for the spanish u-21 team if you're a mug, I kinda feel sorry for the lad but I'm sure the clause situation has been explained to him long ago. Get your facts right ,if Xisco plays 10 games for us we owe money so if he stays and plays after the window shuts we owe money

  5. Its a lot further than Westham to fly with the time difference and jetlag etc you think anyone will be jetlaged by flying to france? The tumbleweed gives it away Dinho just wondering if anyone fell for it and i have my first sucker Booooooooooooooooooooooooollooooooox, mate! So you didnt fall for it hook, line and sinker
  6. Give the bloke some credit at least he gracious enough to see where we are at the end of the season and not signing it and giving his heart another problem if the crowd turn nasty if it goes tits up,he would get a big pay off and its easy for him to do that so i admire him for that but in the bigger picture god forbid him long term if this is the best he can do.

  11. Spot on, be a shame to sell him. He has bags of potential. Its very easy to slag him off but ffs players need time and we dont give players time here .
  12. thats just not gonna happen. Just to elaborate a bit more Matta ,just got this off the Chronicle and must admit you cannot complain about us walking away from this if this is true or its a cat and mouse game but to agree than take the piss is a bit much. Kinnear slammed French club Toulouse today, accusing the club of costing Newcastle a wasted journey over the English Channel after their move for right-back Albin Ebondo collapsed at the 11th hour. Kinnear also sees it as a “wasted opportunity” for Ebondo. He said: “He’s missed out on coming to a massive club. “I’m disappointed at how things went, having had Lee Charnley and Dennis Wise over there for two days. “We agreed the terms at £2.5m. “When we got there, they upped it to £3m. We agreed, then they upped it again. “We thought it was done and dusted, and at the very last minute they moved the goalposts to £6m. “Lee and Dennis said no, and got on the next plane home.”
  13. Just grabbed this off Vital football and the Ronnie Gill sites respectvly Newcastle consider improved Veloso bid EA Sports Newcastle United are poised to improve upon their initial bid for Sporting Lisbon ace Miguel Veloso, if the transfers of Shay Given, and Charles N'Zogbia are wrapped up on time. The Guardian reports that Bolton Wanderers have launched a £14 million bid for the midfielder, but the player is considering his options. Magpies' owner Mike Ashley is prepared to match Bolton's valuation if the impending transfers of the two outgoing players is completed on time - freeing up funds for the bid to go through. It is understood that Manchester City's latest bid for Shay Given is £7 million, while N'Zogbia's transfer will earn the Toon £6 million. Ashley had previously released £10 million for transfers to manager Joe Kinnear, and with Nolan and Ryan Taylor coming in for a combined £5 million fee, one wonders where the rest of the money will go. Ashley is however reluctant to fund anymore moves until the Given transfer is completed, as it will give him a chance to assess the club's accounts. There were conflicting reports on the Veloso situation, with Portuguese media sources asserting that Newcastle's interest in the player was only to bring him in on loan, while the British media were convinced that a £10 million initial bid had been made by the Magpies. Kinnear may be plotting the transfer behind closed doors, and may only reveal the scoop once the ink dries on paper. Veloso's versatility is what makes him an attractive prospect for the Magpies. He can play at left-back, at central midfield, or in central defence, making him a very valuable player. Ashley has repeatedly said that he will bid for 'the right players' - the fans will hope that Veloso is the right player. [glow=red,2,300]Kinnear – who says that at least one more new face could join Nolan and Taylor at St James’s Park before the transfer window closes – told the Chronicle: “Charles has headed to Wigan and Ryan is coming here, subject to personal terms and medicals for both players.[/glow]
  14. Hot off the Kinnear gobothon Joe Kinnear calls on Newcastle United fans to back owner Mike Ashley Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear has mounted an impassioned defence of club owner Mike Ashley as the sports retail tycoon prepared to run the gauntlet of hate in the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday. By Rob Stewart Last Updated: 11:53PM GMT 30 Jan 2009 Joe Kinnear calls on Newcastle United fans to back owner Mike Ashley Cursed: Joe Kinnear believes injury-ravaged Newcastle have been jinxed Photo: GETTY IMAGES Kinnear is hoping supporters do not renew hostilities towards Ashley when he returns to St James's Park for the first time since fans targeted him and the rest of the so-called 'Cockney Mafia' on Tyneside. The Sports Direct founder told friends he feared he would never be able to watch Newcastle safely again due to the backlash caused by Kevin Keegan's resignation as manager last September but is now ready to face up to hois detractors when arch rivals Sunderland head to Tyneside. "Mike has put his money into the club and is entitled to be given a chance," Kinnear said. "I do not think Mike has ever been disillusioned. He's badly hurt and upset but he is desperate to come back and he will be here. "He bought the club when it was in the ----. He has cleared the debts and paid a fortune in doing so. When every other club have been in debt for so long, we are not. I think the fans realise what he has done." Kinnear added: "Mike writes out a cheque every week to pay the wages. But he's in a no-win situation. He doesn't buy players, he doesn't do this, doesn't do that, he's obviously going to come in for stick. That is the way football is. "Thankfully, it's only a small section of the crowd against him but he is not daft enough to know what will happen if we lose. "But the crowd will be on the team's side irrespective of individuals. They have to be a 12th man and get behind the team irrespective of what they think of me or Mike." Ashley watched Newcastle in action for the first time since Keegan quit when they lost 2-1 at Manchester City in midweek and quickly financed the £4 million signing of Kevin Nolan from Bolton. "We stayed up until early hours discussing the situation," Kinnear added. "I said I had a hit-list of midfielders and we'd ring round every club possible to find out which ones were available. That's what we did and we got a yes for Kevin. "He's going through [financial] difficulties which have not helped matters. He's lost a hell of a lot of money both in business and this club. It maybe needed him to see things with his own eyes to act. Being back in the fold may have changed him." Ashley put the club up for sale when supporters turned on the club's hierarchy during the 2-1 defeat by Hull last September. He took it off the market a month ago. "His original plan was to sell it, then that plan was to see how it goes until the end of the season. If we get any buyers in we will look at the situation," Kinnear said. "Right now, we're planning for survival." Kinnear was less understanding towards Charles N'Zogbia, who threatened to go on strike after claiming his manager insulted him by calling him 'Insomnia' . "He's a mixed-up kid, but the person I'd criticise the most would probably be his agent. I feel he's had his head filled with a lot of ----," Kinnear said. A spate of injuries prompted Kinnear's claim that Newcastle were "cursed" but he is ready to overcome the odds. "A derby against our main rivals is the last thing I could do with at the moment because we're so under-strength," said Kinnear. "But I've had 10 years with my back to the wall so this is nothing new to me. Every club I've gone to has always been in the ----. That's the sort of job I do." Nolan described Newcastle as being a bigger challenge for him than playing for Bolton. "That's what I needed," he added. "At Bolton, I was part of the furniture."
  15. Got to love your optimism. Oi wheres Harry we miss him badly
  16. Johnson? Ball? Owen. Crawford
  17. Why is that strange? Just about any transfer fee these days is paid in installments. For that small amount though ,if it was 6 million etc fair enough. There's not exactly a lot of it about at the moment So if we take that as being true thats it for any other quality coming in with a more hefty price tag on that principle.

  19. Yes we will be in Europe next season if thats the case
  20. This off the Ronnie Gill tbh cannot believe the part i have highlighted and if thats true why the fuck would we do that Taylor can operate as full-back on both sides of the field and has been playing on the left wing for Wigan in recent weeks. He has scored four of his six Premier League goals against Newcastle and has proved to be a serial menace to the black-and-whites. Ryan Taylor Wigan’s Geordie boss Steve Bruce will not want to lose Taylor but knows that the Merseyside-born player is out of contract at the end of the season and can walk away for free in June. But Wigan have until Monday night to make up their minds whether to cash in now after a £1.5m move by the Mags. [glow=red,2,300]The offer – believed to be payable in two instalments – hasn’t tempted Wigan so far, but Taylor is believed to be keen on the switch to St James’s Park.[/glow] And with Charles N’Zogbia vowing never to play again for the club, a deal could be thrashed out that sees the sulky star heading to the North-West to join former team-mates Titus Bramble and Antoine Sibierski at Wigan. A source close to 24-year-old Taylor told the Chronicle: “He’d love to make the move to Newcastle. He sees it as a big move in his career. “Ryan has been in talks over a new contract, but they haven’t really progressed. “He’s grown restless and sees this as the right time to move on.” Taylor’s run of goals against Newcastle started in 2007 when he scored from a free-kick in a 1-0 win against Glenn Roeder’s side. He repeated the trick again on Boxing Day 2008 against Sam Allardyce’s side at the JJB Stadium. And, after scoring a stunning 20-yard effort at Gallowgate in the 2-2 draw this season, he followed it up with another curling set-piece past Shay Given, 12 months to the day after the goal that sunk Big Sam to help Bruce’s side to a 2-1 win. Yet he has bad memories of Tyneside too after breaking his leg in two places at Kingston Park in 2006 while playing against Newcastle reserves and spending time in hospital in Newcastle. He joined Wigan from Tranmere in 2005 for £1.25m.
  21. This is a move in the right direction and i hope it goes through ok ,we need his experience and fighting qualities right now .
  22. Horrible little excuse for a human being just set joey on him
  23. Ashley will have seen at first hand Kinnear in action last night according to the commentary on century and hopefully that will show fat boy to get that useless piece of shit out of here.
