  1. If as promised Kinnear has full control over incoming and outgoing i will be happy,if Ashley cannot sell the club lets judge Kinnear on the jan window and where we finish the season and we will have a cleare indication of our direction ,Ashley must start forking out more money on transfers and get Llambras communicating with the fans and media in a more professional manner to win back our grudging support because the team matters more than anything .
  2. Given Beye Collo Bassong Enrique Spiderman Butt Guthrie Duff/Zog (injury permitting) Owen Amoebi This game will be more nervy for Smoggies than us due to the Bolton result so i expect them to be low in confidence tbh and will be played at a high tempo so we should be able to catch them on the break ,they a pretty s*** atm and the crowd will turn at the first opportunity .Alves couldnt score in a brothel and discontent with the foreign players in there ranks could play in to our hands if we can believe what the "glowing twinned with Chernobyl shack dwelling mongs" have us believe on the legends.
  3. Just got this off a Chelski forum before the match ,what a twat with 0 knowledge of whats going on up here . Contributed by Rowan Farnham-Long • 21st November, 2008 • 1,587 views Discuss 'I’M A GEORDIE GET ME OUT OF HERE' on our Forums I’M A GEORDIE GET ME OUT OF HERE thumbnail After a pointless international break comes a game against an almost pointless side, as Newcastle United come to Stamford Bridge for a rare Saturday afternoon kick-off. I say pointless not in the sense of complete superfluity like, say, ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ or a Spurs goalkeeper, but pointless as in Newcastle accumulating just 13 points from 13 games so far this season. In a Premier League table which is tighter than a pair of Jamie Redknapp’s trousers, Newcastle are just two points off the bottom but only two wins away from seventh, however with wins a rare commodity so far for the Magpies, it’s the former option which is looking ominously credible. Newcastle’s mini-revival under Joe Kinnear has come to an abrupt end, and reality is again kicking in for the Geordie fans. Having lost to Fulham two weekends ago, a 2-2 draw against ten man Wigan last week - featuring a late Titus Bramble equaliser, as the error-prone defender continues to take points from Newcastle despite leaving the club a few years ago - wasn’t enough to take Kinnear’s side away from the bottom four. As well as struggling to find form, another constant from Newcastle’s recent league campaigns has been a crippling injury list, and this year has been no different. Alan Smith, Joey Barton (boo), Nacho Gonzalez, and Mark Viduka are all definitely out while centre-back Steven Taylor and striker Xisco are doubts for the game. Michael Owen is always touch and go, and could easily get injured somehow between now and 3pm on Saturday, while Geremi and Damien Duff could be in line for a return to Stamford Bridge, both men former Blues and fondly remembered by the Chelsea fans. Whereas Newcastle could claim to be a leading side in terms of the Premier League injury table, their usual place at the summit has been snatched by our very own walking wounded. With a maximum of nine players out injured, Luis Felipe Scolari’s squad selection is starting to look uncomfortably straightforward, meaning Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda are almost guaranteed starts EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Juliano Belletti, Ashley Cole, Ricardo Carvalho and Joe Cole are all doubts but could return for Saturday, while Franco di Santo, Alex and Michael Essien are all definitely on the sidelines. Didier Drogba is suspended after charitably giving a pound coin generously back to the Burnley fans on that dark Wednesday, but with Nicolas Anelka banging in eight goals in the last four games, the Frenchman has admirably taken on the mantel of goalscorer supreme. Although recent games at St James’ Park have been, at times, uncomfortable (see 2006/07, 2005/06, 2004/05 twice, 2003/04 and indeed, 2002/03) it’s been nothing but joy at the Bridge. In the last ten games - in all competitions - we have scored 24 and only conceded three, winning nine and drawing one. The last time Newcastle tasted victory at Chelsea was back in November 1986, with a 3-1 win in the old First Division. The last meeting in the League was almost a shock to the system however. Sam Allardyce brought his struggling Newcastle side to SW6 in late December against a depleted Chelsea side led by Avram Grant. Despite opening the scoring through Essien, the Blues contrived to lose their lead in the second-half, with Nicky Butt equalising just over ten minutes after the break. As Grant replaced Joe Cole with Claudio Pizarro and later Michael Ballack with Scott Sinclair, the catcalls from the Chelsea crowd intensified to a hostile level, and with the Israeli boss never the most popular of figures, it seemed as if the fans weren’t prepared to bottle their feelings in. However, a late Kalou goal from an offside position sealed the points for the home side and Grant - as well as Chelsea’s title challenge - lived on. With Newcastle struggling, and crisis after crisis stacking up in front of Joe Kinnear, they would do well to repeat last season’s performance. Instead, its more likely that the final whistle will again see the points go Chelsea’s way. Expect goals, action, and probably about eight injuries for both sides. Prediction: Another disappointing weekend for the club now known as Sorry Newcastle. We tend to rack them up against the Magpies, and with goals flying in recently, particularly for Mr Anelka, I’m going for an ambitious 3-0.
  4. That's is what I would do, but Kinnear has stated that he will not use Owen as an attacking midfielder. Owen up front with martins and imho Zog on the left after the way he played when he came on against Wigan
  5. Kinnear interview on Football Focus and Shearers name was mentioned in the studio and Lawro said "alan wont be at Newcastle while Ashleys still there " in his opinion ,just wondering how much big Al comments to others about his thoughts on the matter or are they just guessing
  6. No i think all the talking is coming from others ,tonight on MOTD he may be asked by the other pundits about it unless he has a gagging order on it ,please ask him put him on the spot
  7. That's a really s*** team and it has one rather major flaw. The flaw being not having Owen in it imho and ive just noticed 12 players
  8. Unless Ashley has decided not to sell and will get rid of Wise. Then the only way to win back the fans will to get Shearer and give him full control. Or bring back Keegan and sack Wise, either one would win my favour. I'd still rather have KK back though, there was a great feeling around the club the both times he was here, I really miss that. Throughout this whole fiasco, the one man who really has done his job well is Dennis Wise. Coloccini, Guthrie, Bassong, Jonas - all good buys at a reasonable outlay, plus some promising youngsters like Ranger. Xisco seems to be a blunder but in this game you can't be right all the time. Yet he's the man that people seem most ready to sacrifice. That's one of life's little ironies. Ashley has made his mistakes, but one thing that does do him credit is that he was prepared to stick by his man despite all the pressure. Feel free to disagree. I thought Jimenez targeted the players and Wise recruited the Kids ,correct me if i am wrong .
  9. First team football and chance to play in the premiership and prove he can still do it at the top level.
  10. Good move in the short term imho Kinnear targets John Arne Riise for Newcastle Nov 21 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle John Arne Riise JOE KINNEAR is ready to give former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise the chance to return to the Premier League. And the Newcastle United interim boss is hoping to cash in on his friendship with Arsene Wenger to lure Arsenal’s Brazilian Denilson to St James’s Park on loan until the end of the season. As talks about any takeover of United never seem to make progress, the chances of Mike Ashley keeping the club, at least for the immediate future, are increasing all the time. And if this turns out to be the case, Kinnear could well be still in his role as interim manager come the January transfer window. Before leaving for London and tomorrow’s game at Chelsea, Kinnear told me today: “I have already got my shortlist ready and I will be giving it to Mike. We need two players in as soon as possible and I have them in mind. “One is with Roma and he is not in the team at the moment and the other is a player who has already scored against us this season. “I know their agents and what they would be is loan deals from January until the end of the season. I already know that the player in Rome would cost us £2m to bring him over here. “But we need to strengthen the team and the squad and if we can get them they would be a big boost because both are top-class players.” Kinnear has a good relationship with Wenger but the chances of him getting Denilson, who scored in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over United at The Emirates at the end of August, have actually receded in the past couple of days after Theo Walcott dislocated his shoulder when on England duty. Blackburn’s towering French Congolese defender Christopher Samba is another player who has scored against United this season. But Riise is definitely the man Kinnear wants as he has clearly identified left-back as a position that needs strengthening, with Jose Enrique not looking as though he is up to the pace of the Premier League. The Chronicle revealed on Tuesday that United’s scouting team of Jeff Vetere and Lil Fuccillo ran the rule over Steve Warnock as Blackburn lost to Sunderland last Saturday. And on Wednesday night Fuccillo was in Berlin to see Wolfsburg £4m-rated left-back Marcel Schafer go on as a 77th-minute substitute for Germany in their defeat at the hands of England. But the 28-year-old Riise is an experienced – and goalscoring – left-back, with 78 Norwegian caps. He joined Roma from Anfield for £4m in the summer but has only made five starts in Serie A so far and is third-choice left-back. Indeed, he admits: “I got some games wrong, but I know what I am worth. I don’t feel like a third choice and I think I am quite a good player.”
  11. There seems little doubt imho that they will catch this lot eventually .that women should know better
  12. Imho Shearer has never came across as a quitter and he knows what he is taking on with the toon and everything that goes with it media etc .He comes across determined and talks the talk will have a good knowledge of and know a good player when he sees one as his pundit work helps in that respect . As we've seen with Keegan - twice with us and once with England - there are ways of quitting whilst still looking like you're behaving very honourably. You see this is what i dont get about Keegan he quits us twice and he is still classed as hard done too by many on here including myself ,but there is part of me that feels betrayed by his actions as if he has done it to me personally if you understand what i mean but the more i think about it i say good riddance you could of fought your corner instead about thinking about yourself and dropping us all in it .

  14. Just grabbed this so squabble away Imho Shearer would be ideal for us and anyone who says no managerial experience may i just type Kevin Keegan. Shearer feels he's ready for top job Nov 18 2008 by Luke Edwards, The Journal Alan Shearer ALAN Shearer has indicated he is ready to take the manager’s job at Newcastle United if it is offered to him by the club’s new owners as he prepares to bid farewell to the comfort of the television studio. Shearer has always maintained he would not consider working for the club’s present owner Mike Ashley following the way his former boss and friend Kevin Keegan was forced out by the two-tiered management structure which took the signing of players out of his sphere of influence. But the former United captain (pictured right) would be happy to talk to the people who eventually replace Ashley’s regime at St James’s Park after indicating to friends he is ready to take up the challenge of management. However, Shearer will undoubtedly have some stiff competition for the job, with Newcastle’s interim manager Joe Kinnear also interested in taking the job on a permanent basis, even though he admitted last weekend that the 2-2 draw against Wigan could have been his last home game before a takeover is completed. Although Shearer has not had any direct contact with the two American consortiums who have expressed an interest in taking over the club, both are aware of his standing on Tyneside and would almost certainly have him on their managerial shortlist. Shearer has always played his cards close to his chest when it comes to his future career plans, but having spent the last two years working as a pundit for the BBC he feels the time could be right for him to return to day-to-day involvement in the game. Indeed, those close to the club’s record goalscorer have suggested he may well have taken the manager’s job had it been offered to him in January when the Magpies sacked Sam Allardyce and appointed Keegan. However, while Shearer would give any offer serious consideration, he will also want assurances he will be able to manage the club in the strictest sense of the word. Like his former foe, Roy Keane, Shearer wants to be able to guide the team without interference from the boardroom and he will want to make sure the new owners understand that before he agrees to take the job. While he has taken a break from the game to work in television and on various charity initiatives, Shearer has also seen contemporaries like Keane, Gareth Southgate, Paul Ince and Tony Adams take their first steps as Premier League managers. Although the 38-year-old has no managerial experience – unlike another Geordie candidate Steve Bruce who was unsubtle in his attempt to put his name forward for the job following Wigan’s 2-2 draw at St James’s Park last weekend – he is still worshipped on Tyneside and would arguably be given more time than anyone other than Keegan to build something special. Like Keane, his reputation as a player would also stand him in good stead when it comes to attracting big name players, while he is the sort of internationally-renowned marquee name which would appeal to foreign owners who want to raise the club’s profile in the lucrative overseas market.
  15. These stats about his goal-scoring don't tell the full story IMO. He's a specialist goal-poacher who doesn't do a lot of work outside the penalty box and doesn't create much for others. He's not a Beardsley or a Rooney. So if you pick a player like Owen, you are sacrificing something in another area of the team, and you have to feel reassured that he's worth it. It doesn't help his case that he misses as many as he scores. What a load of bollocks when has he or anyone ever said that he is a player like Beardsley or Rooney and you contradicted yourself with that first paragraph ,he is there to do a job score goals and when he drops deeper he contributes more than Martins i.e not giving the ball away and bringing other players into the game .I cannot get my head around your logic at this moment in time ,the moment he came on the pitch vs Wigan he had chances and scored one what more do you want and we looked a damn site better offensively with him on the pitch with 3 strikers rather than withMartins and Amoebi .
  16. Unless Shearer was given substantial funds to replace the crap and have no interference from above and bring his own coaching staff in etc .Unfortunatley i cannot see that happening unless Ashley bites the bullet with Wise and the rest of his cronies.
  17. TBH i would say Ferguson is pretty dour and Benitez also but it is how you interact with the players and tactics and having the right guys around you helps a great deal imho.
  18. You can change your name but same same old shit comes out .tbh most of the defence were shit so lets pick on Enrique ,you will probably say Owen is shit next.
  19. Dont get me started on Beardsley he was licking Ashleys butt and not so long ago ,wrong to make a change now tbh oh fuck im totally confused where we go from here
  20. so what about our 2 up front before Owen came on what exactly was there contribution.
